My whole family is Catholic. A Catholic is a Christian who follows the Catholic religion as transmitted through the succession of Popes. As Catholic we follow the Pope who is the leader of the Catholic church. And as Christians we learn about our faith through the teachings of Jesus Christ which are found in the holiest of books - the Holy Bible.

The photo above is one of 5 Bibles we have in our home. But this particular Bible, being the oldest, is the most special one. This was bought by my father-in-law when my wife was only 8 years old. Now she is 64 years old which means this book is over 56 years old already in the possession of my wife's family. Now when my wife's parents passed away, she inherited this Bible.

But it is more than 56 years old actually. The copyright of the book is 1961, making it over 60 years old. See photo below.

It is a big book with large print, all done and written the old fashion way.

Inside this Bible there are also numerous pictures of paintings done by famous artists.

Below is a painting of Jesus Christ, in the sermon in the mount, where he taught the 8 Beatitudes.
