STEEMIT EXLIBRIS COMPETITION Season 2: Stephen Hawking - Answers to big questions

Good day! Today I finished reading another book and decided to talk about it while participating in the competition. The post is dedicated to the second season of the book contest, which was kindly organized by @filinpaul. Since the topic of space is quite attractive to me, I decided to read the book of the famous astrophysicist Stephen Hawking. The book was published after the death of the scientist and is his last work.

Fortunately, the book is not replete with images, they are practically not there. Why fortunately? Because reading without pictures allows the imagination to work with double power. That's cool. In my opinion, the book is designed for people who are not particularly familiar with astrophysics, but want to get acquainted with this topic. It is easy to read and interesting. It took me very little time to read this book.

Stephen Hawking answered a number of fundamental questions that a person can think about. He approaches answering questions from a scientific point of view. For example, he refutes the possibility of the existence of God, citing well-founded arguments. However, he also claims the possibility of a multiverse and time travel. Each question and its discussion arouse interest even among the reader who is far from science.

For me, the chapters devoted to the future of humanity aroused particular interest. Artificial intelligence in our time is at the initial stage of its development. The time is not far off when he will surpass the human intellect. What will come then and will he pose a threat to humanity? Stephen expressed his concern on this issue. In theory, humans are in danger of losing their dominance in the food chain. Well, at least in the information "food chain". However, there are ways to avoid this. So don't panic :)

The book is definitely aimed at a broad category of readers. I learned a little new information for myself, which means that the book can be considered useful. Thanks to @steemitblog, @steemcurator01, @steemcurator02, @steemcurator06, @steemingcurators for supervising and supporting the contests.

To all reading lovers, I wish you good and good books!
