Contest: My Favorite Childhood Game

As a child i didn't use to go out much, you would mostly find me either with my Dad making small talks on maths or me with my sisters playing indoor games. My little brother was the computer geek kinda person and so even though he was younger he was the one using the family desktop computer at that time and was always seen with whichever video game was available and so although we all got to play at a point in time i never fell in love with the likes of Mario and the others.

What i did fall in love with though was the game of ludo. It was so much fun to play and you didn't have to worry about frequent lights out disrupting your day and making things boring for you, i would sit with my two sisters and my mom and we could go on till we got tired. We used to change the rules, come up with new ones just to make it more fun and exciting. I remember there was this arrow rule that should one play and get to the mouth of the arrow it means you have been hit by it and so you go back home to start again, it was so insane and we could play for hours without a winner.

Till date i still love the ludo game because it is not a game that you can play alone and so it builds friendship and love among neighbors and siblings, the petty fights and the pain of getting sent home all made the whole thing fun and it does teaches lots of lessons too. It is basically a game of chance with the numbers the die rolls however you realize that there are points where one get so lucky they just go on a winning streak with consistent 6, and the next time the person is struggling to even a single 6.

It thought me about time and season, the need to be patient and wait for your time and your turn. No matter how aggressive one gets in life it doesn't guarantee success, you have to trust the process and work your way gradually through everything and you can be rest assured that when your season is due and it is your time to shine, no number of 6 from the opposing counsel can get you to drop back.

How it is played

Ok so for those of you who may not be familiar with this game although i know it is a popular across the continent although the rules of play may differ. You have 4 small disc of a particular color pertaining the home you choose, mostly is yellow, green, blue and red. When you get a 6 after the roll of a die you can bring one disc in the game play and a 6 play means you have another chance to roll again much like potting the ball in cue club. Any other play and you can move your disc forward. You have to go all the way around till you get back to your home and enter the middle colored portion to clear. The first person to clear all their disc wins, you may be knocked back home if you meet an opponent on the way who happens to get a number after roll that can count to your position.

Guess it quite simple right? Well best of luck in your game play. Lol. Lemme end by saying a big thank you to @strecoza for this wonderful opportunity to reminisce. Thanks for your time and have a blissful day.
