Hay objetos que encierran un gran valor para la persona que lo posee, en esta oportunidad, y de acuerdo al concurso de esta semana, deseo compartir con ustedes, una insignia que representa para mí, el amor al estudio y uno de los logros de los que estuve más consciente haber alcanzado: mi graduación en la educación media, en mi país le decimos bachillerato y en otros, preparatoria. La tradición acá indica que al graduarte de bachiller, un profesor en acto de grado solemne, haga entrega a cada graduando de una insignia, en forma de medalla.

There are objects that have a great value for the person who owns it, in this opportunity, and according to this week's contest, I want to share with you, a badge that represents for me, the love of study and one of the achievements that I was more aware of having reached: my graduation from high school, in my country we call it baccalaureate and in others, high school. The tradition here is that upon graduating from high school, a teacher, in a solemn graduation ceremony, gives each graduate an insignia in the form of a medal.

Les comparto mi insignia, del Colegio San Agustín, con el símbolo que lo representa. Es hermosa, la conservé hasta este año 2021 y fue cedida a mi hija para su graduación este pasado mes de junio, quien la lució y la tiene exhibida en nuestro hogar; percibo que esa herencia también guarda valor para ella. Para mí ha sido un orgullo y satisfacción, que mi hija utilizara la misma insignia que yo, hace 30 años atrás, me complace ver lo bella que es la vida y permitirme esta increíble experiencia al pasar del tiempo.

I share with you my badge, from Colegio San Agustín, with the symbol that represents it. It is beautiful, I kept it until this year 2021 and it was given to my daughter for her graduation this past June, who wore it and has it displayed in our home; I perceive that this inheritance is also valuable to her. For me it has been a source of pride and satisfaction that my daughter wore the same badge that I did 30 years ago, it pleases me to see how beautiful life is and to allow myself this incredible experience as time goes by.
