What is the rating of The Word Game. How it works. And why is it good.

The Word Game rating is a "gamification" of community members to create additional motivation for activity. The rating is calculated daily and published on the @alexmove blog.

At the moment, the rating works only in the STEEM-BRU community and only posts and comments within this community are taken into account.

How does it work?

The rating is calculated as follows. There is a compilation of the rating of posts by the length of the post. Depending on the length of the post, the place in the rating by posts is calculated and points are awarded. Moreover, the points are summed up if there are several posts.

Then a similar rating is compiled according to the comments. Depending on the number of comments, a place in the rating is calculated and points are awarded for the rating of comments.

Then these scores are summed up and the total score for the day is obtained. Depending on the number of points, a place in the ranking is calculated. Thus, we get one rating leader.

Why is this good?

This primarily creates additional motivation to be active in the community. This is good:
for members, because it gives you the opportunity to receive additional rewards (in the case of leadership). It also creates additional interest for participants, it is possible to track their place in the ranking.

for the curators, their upvote can be of great benefit, since this post will definitely be upvoted by the support group. And in general, interest will increase.

for the STEEMIT community, the constructive and positive activity of the participants is increasing.
