One day in my town - Bengaluru, India

If you're planning a trip to Bengaluru India - my town, you've got to check out the Bangalore Palace.

This palace was built in 1887 by King Chamaraja Wadiyar. Today it is a gateway into how the royals of South India would live their daily lives. Being built during the British occupation of India, many of the elements in the palace are of British origin. The architecture style followed here also is inspired b yTudor and Scottish Goth, some even believing that the inspiration for this palace is the Windsor Castle.

You will find this palace adorned with many colours especially the tiles that have been used for corridors and pathways.

The palace is open to public viewing and their are audio guides available which you can pick up on entry for a very informative tour of the palace. The whole tour should take you around 2 hours to complete. After you complete the tour you can move to MG Road/ Brigade Road where you can spend some time in Bengaluru's great pubs and bars.
