Greetings to everyone in the @whole-world community.
Today I'll be writing about a seasonal fruit in my country. Thank you so much @badsha1 and @whole-world for this contest.

SEASONAL FRUIT REVIEW : COCONUT.

There are many seasonal fruits in Nigeria. One of them is coconut.

Coconut fruit can be found in every part of Nigeria with more quantities found in kano and lagos states due to the population and demand for it.
Coconut has become a seasonal fruit in nigeria for many months,
Used for various purposes it's full of nutrients and also very delicious to eat. I most especially enjoy drinking the water found in the coconut when broken.

Coconut is never scarce on the market because Unlike most fruiting plants, mature coconut trees produce their fruits year round,rather than in one specific season.
Given propert care and the right growing conditions,it takes a coconut palm six(6) to ten years to produce it's first fruit,taking them 15-20 years to reach peak production.

The leading Coconut palms producing states in Nigeria are Kano,Niger,Jigawa,Adamawa,Zamfara,Kebbi,Yobe,Borno,Taraba,plateau, Ogun, Nassarawa,Lagos and Bauchi. Irrigation must be used for the coconut farming because of the short rainy season and dry conditions.
These states also record the highest consumption of the coconut fruit.

The benefits of eating coconut are that it helps in digestion, it's water is also rich in potassium which helps regulate blood pressure.
The coconut fruit is a fruit of many talents as a lot of other things can be gotten from the coconut,things like;
a) coconut oil which can be used for cooking or a lotion for the skin when processed
b) Coconut milk which is used in cooking or you can just drink it.
c) Coconut Flour and lots more

Coconut oil and it's derivatives also serves as great sources of revenue for Nigeria when exported.
One coconut costs less than 1steem in Nigeria,so try it.
