Answer:

What is your favorite cake that you make at home? If making it at home then what kind of items are required to make this cake and what is the procedure?

Answer:

My favorite cake is one and only chocolate cake cake and I want to make chocolate cake at home.

Here I discussed the items that are required to make chocolate cake:

Ingredients:

. 2 cups flour
. 2 cups granulated sugar
. 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
. 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
. 1 teaspoon salt
. 2 large eggs
. 1 cup milk
. 1/2 cup vegetable oil
. 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
. 1 cup boiling water
. Butter or cooking spray for greasing the pans.

For the frosting:

. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
. 2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
. 3 cups powdered sugar
. 1/3 cup milk
. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Procedure:

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
   Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake
   pans or line them with parchment paper.

2. In a large mixing bowl, sift together the
   flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking
   powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well to
   combine.

3. Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and
   vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
   Beat the mixture on medium speed
   using an electric mixer for about 2
   minutes.

4. Stir in the boiling water slowly. The
   batter will be thin, but that's normal.

5. Pour the batter evenly into the
   prepared cake pans.

6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35
   minutes or until a toothpick inserted
   into the center comes out clean.

7. Remove the cakes from the oven and
   let them cool in the pans for about 10
   minutes. Then transfer them to a wire
   rack to cool completely.

8. To make the frosting, cream together
   the softened butter and cocoa powder
   in a mixing bowl until smooth.

9. Alternately add powdered sugar and
   milk, beating on medium speed until
   the frosting reaches a spreadable
   consistency. Add more milk if needed.
   Stir in the vanilla extract.

10. Once the cakes have cooled, place one
    cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a
    generous amount of frosting on top.
    Place the second cake layer on top and
    frost the entire cake with the remaining
    frosting.

11. Decorate the cake as desired with chocolate
    shavings, sprinkles, or additional frosting.

12. Allow the cake to set for a while before
    slicing and serving.
