SEC-S10W4: ''A terrible day of my life''
Greetings dear friends.
In life, there is time for everything both good and bad, and once we are living on this earth, in one way or the other one must have a terrible day. So keep calm and enjoy reading through my content as I share my terrible day with you all.
What was the terrible day of your life? What happened to you that day?
My terrible day was during my university days that was on the 24 of August 2018. I was in my year three at the University.
What happened?🤔
On this faithful day, my self and my two friends went to school in the evening to study just like any other students, reaching the school we all studied in the same class. After some hours it was getting late and our house is a little bit far from the school environment.
Normally we usually go back home with some guys who are also staying in the same compound with us but that very day, they said they won't go back home tell the next morning because they have a test the next day, so they have to study till daybreak.
I told my friends that we should go home since the guys will not go with us today. We left the school and headed home. On our way home, by the left side of the junction, we show two guys standing but all our thoughts were on some of the students who stayed in our area.
Seeing them I was so scared but imminently we passed them, the guys started following us and I told my friends that we should run and immediately we started running they ran after us as well, that was when I knew that they were at that junction because of us.
We ran to the extent that everyone took different directions, I was so lucky to reach home safely. After a few minutes I was worried about my friends so I told my neighbors what happened and they all came out. On our way to search for them, we saw joy and I was very happy that she was not hurt by those bad guys.
Now we started looking for Sarah, we look around our area but she was nowhere to be found. Reaching the junction hummmm😪 I saw my friend lying down dead, some of her body parts were cut off by those guys. That night was my worst day on earth, seeing my close friend killed, was painful, I cried till the next day, I couldn't do anything for two weeks until we make sure that her killers were found.
After reporting the case to the school management they seriously make their investigation by involving the police and after a week we were told that the guys were cult guys from another university which was in the same state as ours. They were curt by the policemen and they went to prison for their crime.
Have similar terrible events happened repeatedly in your life? How do you keep yourself away from it if it happens? And do you still shudder when you remember that terrible day?
No, the terrible incidents did not happen to me again. In fact to be on the safer side, the next semester my parents asked me to move into the school hostel so that I will have time to read and go back to my room at any time since the school environment is secured.
Anytime I remember how my friend was killed during that terrible day tears must drop from my eyes because she was so close to me and we do everything together, she was like a sister I never had. Her death still pains me to date and I so much miss her.
What lessons have you learned from that terrible event in your life and what do you want to tell others about it?
Although living at the school environment at that time was normal for me because we have been doing it since our year 1 at the University and we never thought such incidents will happen to us. But even at that, I learned not to go out at night again mostly when I know that the environment is not secure.
To all the students and workers who stay far from the school or working place, please always go home early don't have this mindset that nothing will happen to you on your way home, no one is wishing for such but one has to take precautions in other to be saved from bad people.
In conclusion, there will always be terrible days on this earth but we should always be careful in the things we do in other to avoid such terrible moments in our lives, they said prevention is better than cure so we have to be careful at all times in other to be safe.

Vio que historia tan terriblemente trágica, lo lamento mucho por su amiga. Debió ser muy duro, es lamentable como se pierden la vida de jóvenes buenos en malos de estos desalmados.
Gracias a Dios que se hizo justicia y pudieron dar con los asesinos, Dios le mantenga alejada de esta situación.

I felt very sad I when I read your whole incident and really tears in my eyes for Sarah I really felt very bad what happened with her although the boys got their punishment for their crime but still the incident was so sad to read.
I wish it never happened with anyone in life.

Pero Sarah recibió la peor parte y fue muerta, lamento lo ourrido y espero nunca más experimente situaciones parecidas.
Por lo menos, los chicos fueron presos, deben pagar el crimen cometido.
