What is the national festival of your country? How did it start

Eid al-Fitr is a moment that is always commemorated by Muslims around the world, as well as in Indonesia. Once a year there will be a month of fasting in the month of Ramadan in the lunar year, then at the end of the month there will be a welcome holiday, Eid al-Fitr. Simultaneously the whole world will hold this event, although sometimes there are some places that hold it one day earlier or one day later, but it is not a problem.

When Eid al-Fitr arrives, in the morning there will be a sunnah Hari Raya prayer, which all Muslims will gather at the mosque or mushalla to hold. After the prayers, there will be a sermon by the preacher. Then when they go home, they all shake hands, apologizing to each other. It will be a happy day, where the whole family will gather to greet each other, be it from family, best friends, friends and neighbors. They do not forget also the people who have passed away, by making grave pilgrimages to pray.

How is this festival celebrated? Are there any special rules for celebrating it?

Islam teaches us to forgive each other, to keep in touch, and to visit graves. Therefore, every time we commemorate Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha, there will be mutual visits to families who are close to and far away that they can reach. Then they also visit the homes of their teachers and loved ones.

As for the rules themselves, on that day everyone will dress modestly in accordance with Islamic teachings, and not expose the aurat. The average community before Eid arrives, will prepare several kinds of special Eid cakes that will be served to guests who will come on Eid day. The cakes prepared can be local traditional cakes and can be sponge and bread. For drinks we often find them preparing syrup or cold tea to coffee.

Are there any special outfits or foods for celebrating your national festival?

For clothes as I said, they will collect money to buy clothes that are modest and in accordance with Islamic teachings. For guys, they will usually wear jubabs, koko shirts, and polite shirts. As for the girls, they will wear gamis, and clothes that cover the aurat, and wear the hijab.

For cakes, we often find that every house prepares traditional cakes that are hereditary cakes from ancestors. Perhaps other places have different types of food and drinks. For drinks as I explained above such as cold syrup, cold tea to coffee.

Tell us about your favorite memory from celebrating your national festival.

We have many memories when Eid arrives, especially when we go to the mushalla early in the morning to perform the Eid prayer, then when we arrive there is a takbir together. In addition, there are other moments that will become memories when gathering with family, where distant families will arrive to meet. They shake hands and confide in each other about the condition of their families.

Not only that, I will always remember the time when friends and colleagues met each other to go visit teachers, visit tours from near to far.

That's all I can summarize to enter this contest, hope it's useful. Thank you for all your attention and apologize if there are any mistakes.

Wassalam

I understand that Eid is a period of reconciliation, you forgive those who has wronged you in one way or the other and this is done after the end of the Ramadan fasting. And during this celebration I learnt everyone is adviced to dressed modestly from the men to the women. And different types of sumptuous Delicious delicacies are prepared to be eaten by families, friends and loved ones. It is always a refreshing time after a long fast like that

Thank you very much, friend

A celebration that begins with the help of a friend but that begins a celebration that takes place in their country where the whole family is united, they spend a day full of different celebrations and the return of their families.

Before the arrival of Eid, they prepare different cakes to enjoy, wearing modest, comfortable clothing for the occasion.

Saludos 👍🇻🇪

Hello friend, @walictd
Eid-ul-Fitr is a great opportunity for us Muslims to be forgiven by Allah, where this Eid comes after a month of fasting. Allah stops the punishment of the grave for a month of fasting and the punishment starts again from the day of Eid. Many of the family visit the grave on the day of Eid to ask Allah to forgive. The day of Eid is joyful when family and friends meet. Good luck to you friend.
