Contest - My Happiness - The Soul's Awareness
I am as happy as I can, satisfied with the person I am, happy to be, content with what I achieved. Am I a happier person?
I came a long way
Crawled out of a dark hole
The road was long
And the end is not yet in sight
But hey, I am a realistic optimist
Creativity is the key
It's what makes me happy
How can I be pleased
If this is all I achieved
Isn't it my right to be always happy
Can it be I no longer feel it?
The nonstop talk about happiness
A feeling
While ignoring that inner voice
Saying out of the blue
Gosh, I am the luckiest person on earth
I'm satisfied, the sun shines and
The dog is happy to see me.
Happiness - a feeling
Shows its face unexpectedly
It's a flash
The awareness
Nothing particular causes
The thought
While standing still
Sun stroking my back
True happiness fills my soul
And words of satisfaction flow
'I could die now, I had a good life'
Right after the awareness of the mind
The feeling is gone
I observe
I see measurement
It's you who makes me laugh
Time after time after time again
A small gesture, comment
The wagging tail and jump
I'm happy when you're doing well
If you shine, are enthusiastic, full of life
My heart sings
When you ask: do you want a hug
I smile and think of the first day
I held you in my arms
My child
My beloved pet
Books, fairy tales, the written word
Films
Art
Travels
Kind strangers
Memories
Put a smile on my face
But
That burst of laughter is reserved for humour.
What makes me smile
It's true
It can hurt me too
Hurt and sadness are feelings
And without Happiness doesn't exist
Not the weather but the mind
Makes me feel, realize
I am content
Happiness can't be forced upon
Though the body goes for a warm breeze
The sun's warmth and vitamins
Harmony of body and soul is all I need
Knowing I have it all
I am lucky, I am happy
Poverty just like greed makes it hard to feel happy so does envy and a soul in need. Sadness just like happiness can never be compared. It's the feelings we are talking about and feelings are personal and can't be measured.
It all depends on who you ask and when how satisfied people are. If you never ask or are not willing to hear the answer, it's better to keep the silence and pretend everyone is happy because they are born in 'the right' country. If it was only that easy to be happy imagine what the people's faces would look like.
Feeling sad, unable to be happy is nothing to be ashamed about. Why not talk about sadness, unhappiness instead of pretending we are all doing fine and smile - smile - smile while feeling an outcast and dying inside?

I love the animals in the image!
The howling wolf and black cat on the picture - it refers to my name and my pets 😉
My youngest made it for me. Both stand for my name...
I love cats 😉
For you!
😊
Poor dear cat, why is it crying?
It is a failure of the AI generator. I asked for a crying/howling wolf and a black cat. This is the result.
Now I use it for my X account 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Saludos Kytty 🙋🏻😺
Un gusto leerte.
La felicidad, como todas las emociones experimentadas por la humanidad son duales.
Una existe por la otra.
Solo una cosa es real, crecerá la que más decidamos alimentar. Siempre, estarán allí luchando como dos furiosos lobos.
hey dear your post on happiness as an unexpected feeling a burst of laughter and a harmony of body and soul resonates beautifully. May your journey continue to be filled with these moments that bring joy and satisfaction. Cheers to your happiness..
Thank you dear friend I wish you the same. It all starts with the awareness of what brings us satisfaction. 🍀❤️
Hello Kitty, this morning I read your beautiful poem as soon as I woke up, and a smile accompanied me during the reading. I am convinced that happiness is a consequence of sadness and conversely. These two precious feelings are like twin sisters, born from the same mother, which is love and passion for life. Thank you, Kitty, for involving me and sharing your stories. Have a great weekend.
It is good to hear I could bring a smile on your face. If I reach, besides of me, one other person it's okay. I am aware many will not understand what I'm writing about but this is what I want to share and experience.
I agree with you and for sure many more do. It's important for us (introverts - the thinkers) to know we are not alone and share the same feelings.
This tooic reminded me of an old Dutch TV commercial where was said: imagine you have a party daily, every day wearing your best suit, partying wearing your party hat...
Dear Kitty, you made me reflect on how often we hide behind masks to face society, generating unnecessary stress and distancing ourselves from our authentic essence. This tendency to conform, driven by fear of judgment and the desire to belong, risks slowly transforming us into what we have tried to avoid for years. The pressure to fit in to gain belonging, often ephemeral and driven by superficial interests, threatens to make us lose the integrity of our soul. Your metaphor made me reflect on the absurdity of sacrificing our true nature for fleeting acceptance. I share your invitation to seek authenticity and happiness beyond appearances and I reject the idea of having to change just to fit in. Thank you for reminding me of the importance of staying true to what we truly believe.
The worst thing that can happen is to lose yourself or even do so before you know who you are.
As a child/teenager I struggled and decided I can't do it. The thing was (is) no matter how hard I try I will not be liked (Dutch expression: those who want to beat a dog will always find a stick).
It's better to be alone than in a crowd and I do not need people to make me feel unhappy.
Please, stay true to yourself since you are your own best friend.
