Hello Everyone. I am @shiftitamanna

Today as I have come to experience the Jamuna River near my village home, so first of all I am going to highlight some information about the Jamuna River. Basically, if you want to know about Jamuna river, there is a lot of information available on the internet, but I want to tell you about the information I know or about the origin of Jamuna river. The Jamuna is one of the major rivers of North India and the river is a major tributary of the Ganga, the national river of the Republic of India.
The Jamuna River originates at the Jamunotri Glacier at an altitude of 6,387 meters at the southwestern foothills of the Bandarpuch range in the Central Himalayas and is 1,376 km long, which highlights the greatness of the river. Moreover, this river spreads across Jamalpur, Tangail, Sirajganj, Pabna and Gaibandha districts of Bangladesh. This river plays a major role in the agriculture sector and fisheries sector of Bangladesh.
The day was 11 October 2024 and our intention was to explore the river Jamuna. So I planned to cross the river Jamuna with some of my family members. Originally Jamuna river is very big in size but this river looks small due to the rise of land in the middle of the river. However, at certain times of the year, the water of this river overflows and then the villages around the river are submerged under water.
However, we family went out together in the morning and hired a boat to explore this river. The river seems very small but actually the volume of this river is very big. As the river is next to my house, we quickly boarded a boat with family members and reached the bank of river Jamuna.
A scary thing is that I don't know how to swim so I was quite upset by the jolting of the boat when the sailor steered the boat. River Jamuna already has a lot of currents making it difficult to steer the boat against the current but still our boatman managed the boat with his skill. But still many of us were scared by the rocking of the boat due to the strong current in the river as most of us do not know how to swim.
While crossing a small section of river Jamuna by boat, we were all screaming and scared as the boat jostled in the river current. Although some members of our family were not afraid of this jolt because they are used to boating and they know how to swim. However, within two to three minutes we cross a small part of the Jamuna river by boat and reach the char or land between the Jamuna river.
Now the above mentioned photo is the raised land or char in the middle of river Jamuna. But it is also a part of river Jamuna and when the water level of river Jamuna rises at a certain time of the year, this place is full of water. So at that time the Jamuna river showed its greatness in front of everyone and it caused huge damage to the people on the banks of the river. But the land or char area that rises in the middle of river Jamuna is really beautiful and I think anyone would like this place because this place is full of natural beauty.
Crossing the river we took several pictures on the banks of the river and the main subject of our pictures was the river Jamuna and the natural beauty of the land or char that rises between the river Jamuna. I stood there for quite some time on the banks of the river and enjoyed the natural beauty. When the water of river Jamuna dries up in many parts, the riverside people cross a small part of river Jamuna and do agriculture on the raised land in the middle of the river.
As the river Jamuna is quite large in size, even after we crossed a part of the river, there was quite a lot of water in the raised beds in the middle of the river which we crossed on foot. To tell the truth I was very impressed by such a scenic view of the river bank as I came back to my village after a long time of almost two years and then crossing the river with everyone was another beautiful experience of mine. Although I have grazed in the middle of this river before but still this time was special for me. The plantations planted by the farmers on the banks of the river were quite beautiful.
Now it's time to cross the middle part of the river on foot and as you can see the water is almost knee high at my feet. But the interesting thing is that the farmers have started cultivating some other crops including paddy in the river. People who do not have any separate cultivation land, every year when the water of river Jamuna dries up, they come to this pasture and start cultivation and before the water rises in the river, they collect these crops and make a living, which is the daily work of the people in the rural environment. However, after crossing knee-high water, we all crossed some more middle part of Jamuna river.
Crossing the arrow some more we reach the land again and then we start walking forward. Human footprints can be seen everywhere we walk as farmers plow the Yamuna River's silt with tractors to make it suitable for cultivation as the river rises. But as we move forward through these sights we all notice a strange thing and that is the skeleton of a dead animal. This object was discovered by a member of our family and we then tried to understand if it could be the skeleton of a dead animal. But we could not be entirely ill, even if we assumed somewhat that it was not the skeleton of an animal complete with the bones of an animal. However, after seeing all these things, I dropped the bones of the animal's skeleton and started moving forward again.
Moving ahead we see another beautiful view of the pastures between the Jamuna River and that is a large crop field with an abandoned house cultivated by a few farmers. It is a mercy to the people from the great creator because during the year when this place is dry many people work for their livelihood on the forage raised on the river bed and in the same way they can earn their livelihood. Having no cultivable land of their own, people started farming along the river banks which provided them with food throughout the year. Then we progressed further through the crop fields and our aim was to reach the last end of the river Jamuna.
Crossing the crop fields we reach the Kashful garden and upon reaching there the mesmerizing landscape delights us all. To tell the truth, I could directly see the dreams of the people on the banks of the river around the char rising on the banks of the river Jamuna, and the wonderful views of the river bank were coming our way. In the Kashful forest we all wait here for a while and enjoy the Kashful scenery and we all take pictures in our mobiles. We stayed there for more than 20 minutes and walked through the Kash Garden. Although we were walking cautiously as the Kashful forest can have poisonous insects at times. However, after spending some time in the work garden, we again started walking towards another part of the river Jamuna.
After about 10 minutes walk from Kashbagan we reach another branch of river Jamuna.Basically, the entire area of our walk is the middle part of the Jamuna river and the river seems small due to the char rising here, but at a certain time of the year when the water in the Jamuna river rises, all the places we walk are submerged under water and the branches of the Jamuna merge together to show the greatness of the Jamuna. We came to the third branch of the Jamuna river and walking along the stream we crossed a small branch of the Jamuna river and reached the next branch of the Jamuna river.
Crossing the third branch of the Jamuna I felt pretty good and here too the water flowed up to my knees. Although the water level here was low, we still had a lot of trouble walking upstream. Moreover, the fear of not knowing how to swim was still in my mind and thus we crossed the third branch of the river in no time. But when I crossed the third branch river I felt pretty good. It felt so good to soak in the cool water of the stream during the hot summer that I stood in the water for some time.
Then we reach the fourth branch of Jamuna river and coming there we can estimate the depth of water. In this case those of our family members who know how to swim go down to Jamuna 4th branch river to understand the water level and then we abandon the plan to go for Jamuna 5th branch river. Because for those of us who do not know how to swim, it will be very difficult and risky to cross this fourth branch river. However then we saw a boat on the fourth tributary of the Jamuna and we boarded the boat for some photography and had our noon bath here. We bathed in the fourth branch of Jamuna river for more than an hour which we liked very much and we all enjoyed the time very much. To be honest this was my first experience of such a river trip with family members and it was memorable for me. That day I saw the dream of people around Jaga Char on the bank of river Yamuna and enjoyed the beauty of the rural environment which I liked very much.
Bangladesh is a riverine country and a large part of our people are involved in agriculture and fisheries sector. Most of the inhabitants of the river banks that flow through the village mouths of Bangladesh are fishermen and they earn their living by catching fish in the river and producing crops on the river bank. To tell the truth the rural environment is beautiful and the fresh air and simple movement of the people always fascinates me. So I want to come back here after my travel experience and relive all these experiences. This place will be memorable for us with family members and we enjoyed the entire time of riverside stroll.

Ma'am, the joy of enjoying every spot and every moment of your journey with the whole family was different. You have described the source and details of Yamuna river in a very nice way which is really nice.
Now almost winter is about to start and the rivers will be seen in their various places that the water will dry up and the river will become smaller in size, this is the natural law.Just as rivers are filled with water from side to side during monsoons, the opposite happens in winter.Yamuna river fish is very tasty I saw Yamuna river but could not walk across the riverside and journey by boat.
But whenever I went towards North Bengal, I had the privilege of adopting the true beauty of the Yamuna River while crossing the river through the bridge built on this Yamuna River by train.
The river Yamuna flows before our eyes. The beauty of this river is unmatched. Enjoy your trip. But we all love the journey of Kashful.Thank you very much for presenting the beautiful article to us.
