Indeed, the national flag of Bangladesh has a huge history attached to the nation's battle for freedom. A group of student leaders and activists from the Swadheen Bangla Nucleus at Dhaka University created the original flag in 1970. On March 2, 1971, student leader A. S. M. Abdur Rab flew the initial version of the flag, which featured a gold map of East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) on a red disc.
The banner was an image of Bengali patriotism and the goals for freedom from Pakistan. The dim green shade of the Flag addresses the lavishness of the scene of Bangladesh and the red circle represents the carnage by the Bengalis in their battle for autonomy. The guide was subsequently eliminated from the Flag for down to earth reasons, including the trouble of delivering it accurately on the two sides of the banner. The altered Flag, with simply the red circle somewhat askew towards the derrick, was authoritatively embraced on January 17, 1972, after Bangladesh's triumph in the Freedom War.

The red green flag of Bangladesh is a symbol of our glory and freedom which we wrested from the invading forces in 1971 through a bloody war. Although this flag of our pride was created in 1970, it was converted and officially adopted on 17th January 1972. Thank you very much for bringing the beloved flag and giving a beautiful presentation. Keep up the good work.

Our country has achieved through many blood exchanges and donations in life. We will be proud of this country and flag. If we look at our history, we will see that there is no other country that has given so much pain and life to get its independence and flag. Our flag red green color conveys a great meaning. The Flag of Bangladesh, the green color represents the greenery and beautiful views here, while the red circle in the center of the flag represents the blood of the people who sacrificed their lives here for this separate homeland.
