Tell us about your target on steemit platform

A target means setting a particular goal to achieve within a set period of time. For instance, on Steemit, some of us have targets for each month to either grow their steem, sbd or steem power within a set time. Setting targets help us as individuals to be focus till we reach our destination.

I’m this contest, I’ll be sharing some insights on how I plan to hit my set target on steemit before the months run out. Before going ahead, let me invite @diary-of-ima, @livagloe and @bossj23 to participate in the contest

Returning on Steemit around October last year, i didn’t really have any target but as I sailed through the shores of Steemit, I realized that the dynamics has changed compared to when I joined as far back 2017 and it was a bit favorable. So I set a target to get 1000sp between October to December. I kept powering up every single steem I got from contest unfortunately, I didn’t meet the target. I ended up at 754sp. It was just last month I exceeded my target and had lots of steem to hold on to.

Recently, I decided to join a new contest hosted by my very own @bossj23 and it involves growing our steem power by 150sp. I really love the initiative behind the contest and I’m fully involved. The contest actually kicked off by marched 9th and it’s going to end in a month time. I can’t really tell for now how far I’ve gone with my target because at this point the steem power I’m seeing in my wallet, looks insignificant compared to the 150sp, but I won’t give up because the sky is my limit.

At first, while I was reading through the contest and I saw 150sp as target, I thought it was way too easy but after I read the rules of the game, I almost stopped playing the game. For me, I see it as a contest meant for dolphins and whales on Steemit because It’s way too hard.

The rules of the games is strictly for steem power. You don’t power up your steem till you get to 150sp. That’s way too challenging for guys that haven’t built strong systems on Steemit. I really don’t know how I am going to meet up with this challenge but I know it is worth giving it a try and hopefully I get close to the 150sp.

Another challenge I might be having is power supply issue. The dilapidated power supply in Nigeria keeps worsening every single time. As a result of that, gadgets like laptops and phones that needs to be charged are always in low battery. Whenever my phone battery is low, It’s impossible to come on Steemit or work with my phone. This poses as a threat in achieving my steem power target.

There are several steps I intend to take to see if I could finish top of the contestant and it includes:

• Becoming the top 3 of all the contest I participate
• Concentrate on contest that pays off in Steem power rather than in steem.
• Join contest that has a high paying rewards.
• Try to attract steem curator 1 and 2 and hopefully get a slice of their pie from there upvotes
• Upvote as many post as possible and gain from curation reward
• Try to engage more with people and make post that will attract them to upvote my work.
• Make a post every single day till I get to the 30th day when the contest ends.

In this particular challenge, powering up is against the rules of the game. So, I’m not even depending on it. But assuming it was allowed, I believe if I join club100, I would have had a higher chance of achieving the 150sp because during my personal journey to 1000sp, powering up all my steem was a major advantage for me that gave me that edge.

In conclusion, setting targets on Steemit is really challenging but it’s really necessary to do that because that’s the fastest way of growing in this platform. It might not be easy at first but trust me, when I say with more focus and determination, you will get to your goals and you will feel so good once you achieve it.
