Global warming is the excessive increase in the Earth's temperature caused by human activities. Some of the human activities includes burning fossil fuels, deforestation and transportation.

Some of the human activities which causes global warming includes.
- Burning of fossil fuels
Humans depend on fossil fuels as a source of energy. Burning of fossil fuels such as coal, crude oil and gas releases large quantity of carbon which causes global warming.
- Deforestation and bush burning
Cleaning bushes for rural development and agriculture makes it difficult to find tree that would purify our carbon dioxide.
- Industrial processes
Most of the raw materials we used in producing finished goods in our various industries also causes global warming.
- Transportation
Most of the vehicles we use in transportation releases fumes which are also causes global warming.

- Food scarcity
Global warming can lead to drought, dryness and desertification and water is the main nutrient for plants growth. When this happens, they would be food shortage.
- Health impact
Diseases, especially communicable ones usually spread well in hot weather.
- Mass migration
When global warming becomes severe, many people who don't find the condition favourably will migrate to another place.
- Mass death of marine creatures
Some of the water bodies become more acidic when they absorb carbon dioxide which can cause the death of sea creatures.
- Water scarcity
Change in precipitation leads to high level of evaporation due to hot temperature thereby leading to water scarcity.
- Wildlife life extinction
Carbon dioxide affects wild animals the same way they affect humans, excessive global warming can lead to the death of these creatures, there by leading to their extinction.

- Reforestation
This is the planting of trees after cutting down old ones, it will help to convert carbon dioxide to Oxygen.
- Education and awareness
The public should be educated about global warming, it's effects and the way forward.
- Go for alternative source of energy
Humans can result to energies like renewable source of energy that wouldn't emit carbon dioxide to the atmosphere.
- Increase Energy Efficiency5
Turn off the light before sleeping, use appliance that doesn't consume much energies in homes and offices.
Finally, everyone of us has a role to play in reducing global warming in the World don't say it's not your business because it affects everyone.

@rossnenye on participating in this beautiful contest. Currently, global warming is a hot topic all over the world. Excessive heat is making life miserable. The main reasons are rampant deforestation, and pollution from factories and vehicles. To save the world from this problem, we need to plant more trees, use electric public transport.
