ISEC-S17W4: "Express Your Love For National Flag."
class="phishy">INTRODUCTION |
---|
Is there any history behind the formation of your national flag? If so, what happened? |
---|
On before Nigeria got her independence in the 1960 , Nigeria was colonized by the British which literally means that they didn't have a specific flag.
A year or two before Nigeria got her independence, there was a kind of contest over thousands of entries to design the Nigeria flag , so Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi design was the best which was the color green, white and green
The flag was officially adopted in 1 October 1960, the day my country (Nigeria)gained her independence .
What do the different colors or symbols on your national flag represent? |
---|
The color in my country flag represent a meaningful impact in the citizens starting from the green to the white.
Green: the green stand for agriculture
White: the white color represents peace and unity

How does your national flag represent your country on the world stage? |
---|
Nigeria is the largest country in Africa and in the world too in terms of crude oil which literally means that the green in our flags shows how wealthy we are due to agriculture products
And the white color really shows how peaceful the Nigerian are.
Share your love for your national flag through any creative means of art, craft, drawing, painting, or special video. |

Gone are those days where I usually think there are three colours on the Nigerian flag not until I was asked in an exams. That was when my mind flashed back that it's just 2. Thanks for the invite. You've shown love attributed to your country via this flag and it's good to know it's a national symbol used to represent Nigeria as a whole, the fertility of the soul and other good things.
Ha! That's quite a surprise! It's amazing how exams have a way of revealing things we thought we knew. Glad I could jog your memory about the Nigerian flag. It's indeed a powerful symbol representing our nation's essence. Thanks for joining in on the flag fun!
I really appreciate.
Thank you
If a country is under the control of another country, i.e. in the state of colonization, that country does not have a specific identity of its own. It has to express its identity as a colony of another country, and it does not even have a specific page of its own country. As you did not have. However, through a competition in 1958, you Selected the flag which was drawn by Michael Taiwo Akinkunmi. Later it was declared as the official flag after your independence. The green color in the flag represents the agricultural self-sufficiency of your country and the white represents the sense of brotherhood among all your races and communities.
I wish you the best in this competition. keep up the good work.

I wish you the best of luck on this contest 🙏💪
Thank you very much!
The green color of the flags of Bangladesh and Nigeria has a lot in common in that this green color is used for agriculture. We also know white as a symbol of peace. Flags express honor and uniqueness for each country. Your country Nigeria had to do a lot of competition behind the flag design no other country might have done that which is a beautiful history of yours. Good luck to you.
Thank you for highlighting the significance of the green color in flags and the unique histories behind them. Nigeria's flag indeed reflects a rich and competitive process, symbolizing its heritage and aspirations.
Thank you sir
You know green white and green is not just a color, it represents great and mighty nation in west Africa, the color green and white is Nigeria..
Nice writeup @preshy001
Absolutely, green and white symbolize the pride and strength of Nigeria, a great nation in West Africa.
Thanks for your comment
Apart from getting any independence, they thought of building a national flag to sustain their existence. Also in your country a competition was organized to make a national flag to sustain which I came to know by reading your post.
Your artwork of your country's national flag is quite beautiful. But it would have been more beautiful if it was a little darker
Best wishes to you. Keep of your good work.
