Assalamualaikum friends, hope you all are well. By the grace of God I am fine. Ramadan Mubarak to all. So today I am going to participate in a contest. The theme of the contest is: Share your experience about fasting. I thank this community Moderator @steem4bangladesh for organizing such a nice contest. Ramadan is a very happy moment for me. I spend my days very well during Ramadan. So some questions have been asked in this contest, I will be a part of this contest by answering them.

Have you ever fasted? What rule did you follow in fasting?

Yes, I grew up fasting since childhood. When I was younger I rarely fasted or could not fast at all. But now I fast 1 whole month during Ramadan every year. I am still fasting. I will keep all the fasts inshAllah by the command of Almighty Allah. There are several rules I follow while fasting.

First of all I eat and drink at Sehri to fast the whole day. In order to fast, I fast from before the Fajr call to the Maghrib call to prayer. This is called fasting. Then I pray five times, going to the mosque. I think that if you do not pray while you are fasting, there will be no benefit in fasting. So you have to pray five times. Then listen to various Islamic hadiths. Then at the time of iftar, I break the fast with everyone as much as possible. I go to the mosque and prepare iftar with everyone and have iftar.

Does fasting work as medicine for our bodies?

Fasting is a religious practice that is a means of reward for Muslims. I think that fasting keeps the body clean by abstaining from certain foods and drinks at a certain time. It increases our reward and benefits the body. Also, fasting calms the body and provides mental peace and health benefits. So fasting keeps our bones and muscles healthy and reduces the risk of weight gain, allergies, and blood pressure. Fasting has benefited me greatly. That's why fasting works as medicine in our body.

Have you noticed any physical and mental changes in yourself due to fasting?

Many types of physical and mental changes can be observed in the human body due to fasting. As a physical change, during fasting the fasting person refrains from serving food and drink for the whole day. This keeps their stomachs empty which can be beneficial in terms of physical health. Drinking water should be avoided during fasting, which can lead to physical dehydration. Stomach gas can occur due to abstinence from food and drink during fasting. So such physical changes can be noticed.

Fasting is a religious process that helps us to make physical and mental changes. As a Muslim or when we fast, there are some changes in our mental and physical health. We always go to the mosque to pray and meditate on Allah to receive the reward. Listen to the Quran, so our mind becomes purer and softer than before. All bad deeds should be avoided. These mental changes can be observed.

What things should be taken care of while fasting?

There are many things to keep in mind while fasting. When I eat food for this fast, no food can be eaten for the whole day. It's another thing to play out of mind. But no food and drink can be done at will and five times prayer must be offered. You should meditate on Allah. If I do not pray after fasting, then that fast has no value. Therefore, you should always pray according to the words of Allah, you should pray for everyone.

Good deeds must be done, truth must be spoken, lies must not be spoken. Bad deeds cannot be done, daily bad deeds will not be counted as fasting. So you have to fast keeping various things in mind. You should always think good thoughts, have a good mind mentality then the fast will be completed.

Finally I want to say that fasting is very rewarding for us. We fast for reward. Fasting is completed after a long year. So we will always try to fast for 30 hours, if we fast, our mind is fresh, our body is healthy. So thanks to this community Moderator @steem4bangladesh for organizing such a beautiful holy contest.
