SEC-S15W1: The Wonder of Science
Science has helped build a great civilization. - What is your opinion on this matter?
Yes, I strongly share this view as I believe that science has played a crucial role in the development and advancement of our modern society. As an individual, I believe that science has been the primary driving force behind many of the technological, medical and social advances that have shaped our civilization.
I believe that science has pushed the boundaries of human knowledge, stimulating curiosity and innovation. Personally, I feel a deep admiration for scientists who have dedicated their lives to research helping to expand our understanding of the world around us.
Thanks to science, we have been able to solve problems once considered intractable, improve our living conditions and find solutions to the challenges facing our planet. I am confident that scientific advances will continue to play a crucial role in solving global problems such as climate change and disease.
Additionally, science has also promoted communication and exchange of ideas on a global scale. Thanks to advances in the fields of information and communication technologies I can interact with people around the world and contribute to a global community of thinkers.
How do you think our lives would be if there was no science?
I think it will be a little difficult because I believe that science plays a fundamental role in almost every aspect of our daily lives. If science did not exist I fear our existence would be limited and many aspects of our modern life would be compromised.
First of all, I consider medical advances to be an essential part of science. Without scientific research we would not have access to treatments and medications that have dramatically improved human health. Diseases that were once fatal could remain incurable which would have a huge impact on our life expectancy and quality of life.
On a technological level I fear that we will not be able to benefit from the advances that make our daily lives easier. The technologies we use from smartphones to home appliances are a direct result of scientific research and technological innovation. Without it, we would be forced to live in a world devoid of modern conveniences.
Furthermore, I believe that the absence of science would have a significant impact on our understanding of the world around us. Scientific discoveries have broadened our intellectual horizons allowing us to understand nature and life in greater depth. Without this understanding , our view of the world would be limited and we might face more mysteries and uncertainties.
If you could ask a famous scientist one question, who would it be, and what would you ask?
If I had the opportunity to ask Alexander Graham Bell, the famous inventor of the telephone, a question, I might ask him:
"Mr. Bell, by designing the telephone, you revolutionized communication on a global scale. Today, with technological advances such as smartphones and wireless communications, what do you think are the next big steps in the evolution of the means of communication, and how do you think these developments could influence modern society and human relations?"
I would expect his answer to be infused with a deep understanding of technological advancements and the importance of human connectivity. As a visionary inventor, Bell would likely have a unique perspective on potential developments, and I would anticipate his thoughts with enthusiasm.
By asking this question, I would seek to obtain indications of future trends, but also to understand how these developments might shape our daily lives. As an individual who regularly uses modern communications technologies, I would be particularly interested in how these advances might influence human relationships, society, and even the way we perceive the world around us.
I would feel honored to have the opportunity to engage in conversation with such a brilliant mind, and I would hope that his response would provide me with stimulating and inspiring perspectives on the future of communications while giving me food for thought on the how I can contribute to this field as a member of modern society.
Share three amazing science discoveries that make our lives easier.
For me the three best scientific discoveries that have significantly facilitated my life are, first of all, the advent of electricity. I still remember the first time I flipped a switch in my new house and light flooded the room. This groundbreaking discovery brought a radical transformation to our daily lives, making our homes brighter, our tasks simpler, and providing a host of inventions that rely on electricity, from electronic devices to modern lighting systems.
Next, I consider advances in the field of antibiotics to be a major scientific discovery that has undeniably improved our quality of life. Antibiotics have revolutionized medicine by effectively treating bacterial infections, saving countless lives. Thanks to these medications, we have been able to overcome once-deadly illnesses and live in a world where infections are no longer as threatening.
Finally, I cannot ignore the invention of the Internet which truly changed the way we communicate, share information and access knowledge. This scientific discovery, based on the work of a large number of researchers, has created an interconnected world where I can access an incredible amount of knowledge with just a few clicks, communicate instantly with people around the world, and benefit from ease of access to information that was once unimaginable.
These three scientific discoveries, electricity, antibiotics and the Internet, have profoundly influenced my daily life, making it safer, more enlightened and more connected. Looking at them, I realize how science has positively shaped our existence, making possible what once seemed impossible.
Thank you very much for reading, it's time to invite my friends @waterjoe, @sduttaskitchen, @pelon53 to participate in this contest.

Dear Sir, If you meet the inventor of the telephone, Alexander Graham Bell, I have a question. Then you wrote about three wonderful discoveries. Electricity, the internet and the discovery of antibiotics have surprised you. I also agree with you, some days ago, medical science invented a vaccine to protect us from the corona virus epidemic. Over the ages, medical science has contributed to the field of medicine by discovering vaccines and antibiotics to protect against major epidemics. If it were not for science, we would have clothed ourselves with leaves of trees like primitive people. I did not understand civilization. Your writing about science is very beautiful. Good luck to you.
Thank you for your thoughtful comment. Science has undeniably shaped our modern world. The recent development of a coronavirus vaccine is an illustration of its continued impact on public health. Your kind words about my writing about science are appreciated. I also send you my best wishes.
