What does the phrase "Teamwork Makes the Dream Work" mean to you?

Teamwork makes the dream work because teams are more likely to succeed together than as individuals. Team building activities have many benefits, including improving communication and problem-solving skills so that procedures within the work environment flow more smoothly.

There is strength in unity. Employers and leaders understand that to achieve set goals, there must be synchronization between all facets of the operation, the various stages of production and execution. It is important to note that when the team succeeds, everyone succeeds. There will be failures along the way, but those failures should be used as stepping stones and learn not to.

In every team, the weakness of one is the strength of the other. Leaders recognize and ensure that there is enough zeal and motivation to go around. Leaders also realize that motivating team members to achieve these goals is possible when members are encouraged to help each other. Individual selfishness is one of the major negative traits a leader should seek to eliminate if teamwork is indeed going to make the dream work.

I'm a computer science professor but I also have experience as a programmer, so teamwork platforms mean two things to me: managing code and managing programming tasks.

The platform I've worked on the most is Github and it's the best in my opinion, it's free by the way and I've worked there on more than one project and in a team of more than five people.

Also in my experience with a company, I used their own collaboration platforms, which are generally bad and slow.

It may be worth noting that what matters in any teamwork is the professionalism and commitment of the team members, no matter how expensive or simple the platform you are using, unless the laws of teamwork govern the fate of the project until failure, not because of the tool but because of poor management, so I advise at the beginning For those who want to work collectively, that they only use Google Spreadsheet to manage tasks and stick to it, then after doing an overview of how to work together without a specialized tool, you can move on to whatever you want. Knowing that Spreadsheet is enough, it can be customized to do many things.

What obstacles did you face in working as a team?

Personally, I had to deal with a team of programmers where everyone didn't really know what to do. The idea came from 2 comrades who wanted to make a startup in the field of Erp. And afterwards, we met a developer who wanted to “control” the project with his brother.

So we really got into a fight at the end and it ended badly.

Subsequently, I had to meet startup creation coaches and Bam the revelation!

You should never choose your teammates on the fly. Because it's like choosing your wife from among your high school classmates on the snap of the head. It always ends badly. On the contrary, it is always necessary to take the time to study the people who wish to set up a project or a company to find out if there are compatibilities or inconsistencies. In the latter case, always trust your intuition rather than the logic of style: it's the best in its field or it was among the majors of its class.

If it doesn't work from the start, it won't work later on.

How did I apply this advice?

One of my former comrades wanted to recruit me into his startup just after the failure with my two former comrades.

I did a very simple test, I bought a training course on a piece of software we had to work on and I offered him part of it for free. Then I observed his behavior right after. It was really the theory of the signal: first super excited because the product was not bad, then super demanding by throwing the blame on someone as soon as a hiccup occurred. I just found a bogus excuse that my parents wanted me to quit and that was it.

Is it possible for a person to achieve more by engaging in teamwork than individually? explain.

Teamwork if it is managed in a way that guarantees comfort and individual space for all the team , is the most useful. What I notice is that teamwork is managed randomly so that all decisions and matters are involved without taking into account the capabilities of each individual and person to receive them, and then obstacles occur in work, achievement and management of the team as a whole.

I prefer working in a team if its management takes place based on an organized and comfortable awareness and understanding of all its members so that their advantages characteristics and abilities are discovered individually and how to deal with each personality.

And not to subject all of them to a single criterion and then judge them accordingly, because the team here will have an imbalance and therefore I definitely do not prefer working within it, so it is relative and very little in our day. To achieve goals , this structure is based on understanding the characteristics of each of the team's personalities separately.

Si claro, yo también prefiero trabajar en equipo, pero hay que estar de acuerdo en el estilo de trabajo, y si eso no pasa, prefiero trabajar solo que con un equipo que no entiende, aunque cueste yo cargos extra. Gracias por el comentario.
