A Village Recipe Of Cooking Sweet Potato Leaves:

Starting with greeting and respect. I'm @jebanikajeba, From Bangladesh. Today I'm sharing a very famous and delicious village recipe for sweet potato leaves which I learned from my Aunty. Sweet potato leaves contain the beneficial nutrients of vitamin C, A, iron, manganese, and fibre, and sweet potato greens are the easiest to grow, as seedlings coming out from sweet potato grow into sprawling plants in just a few days. Dear friends, this recipe will be very tasty and healthy for those of you who like to eat sweet potato leaves.

Cooking Ingredients:

Ingredients: Quantity:
Sweet potato leaves 300 gram
Dry fish 4-5 piece
Potato 100 gram
Garlic 30 gram
Onion 50 gram
Green chilli 4-5
Turmeric powder 1 teaspoon
Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Coriander powder 1 teaspoon
Cooking Oil 3 tbsp
Salt as per taste

Cooking Process:

In the first step, I washed and cut the sweet potato leaves well and prepared all the ingredients for cooking.

In this step, I heated oil in a pan on the stove, added chopped onion, chopped garlic and chopped green chillies and fried it till it turned brown.

Step-3:

In this step, when the onion turns brown, I add dry fish with onions and fry it a little.

In this step, I add fried onion and dry fish along with turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, salt and fry all the spices together well for four minutes.

In this step, Once the masala was fried I added the chopped potatoes to the masala and sauteed for another 2 minutes to enhance the flavour.

In this step, I added the sweet potato leaves to the potatoes and gave them a good shake with a little water so that the leaves and potatoes were cooked well.

In this step, The water on the sweet potato leaves had dried up and the potatoes were cooked so I took the Pan off the stove and completed my cooking.

I served my cooked Sweet potato leaves in a bowl and took a selfie of myself.

Epilogue:

Sweet potato leaves can be eaten in vaji, curry with various fish, cooked with dal and many other ways I have cooked Sweet potato leaves in different ways but for me, Sweet potato leaves are more delicious when cooked like this. The Herbal content of Sweet potato leaves helps heal wounds, produces collagen in the body, and is Beneficial for healthy bones, heart, nerves, skin and teeth.
