A Fish Seller's Lifestyle Of Our Village:
Starting with greetings and respect. I'm @jebanikajeba, sharing the story of a vendor from our village. A fish seller sells fish carried on his head and shoulders in various areas, including Gerasthali Para, hoping to make a small profit by buying fish from the wholesale fish market.
As in every city area, there is a nearby market, but not so in the village. Markets are held two to three times a week in the village. And even if there is a local market, it is quite far. You have to go to a far market to buy fish. So many housewives are dependent on these fish sellers.
But a fish seller came to our village a couple of years ago. Of course, he is not local here. He lives on rent in a house. A skinny man wearing a simple lungi and genji comes every morning with a fish pot laden on his head. Sometimes, he brings one type of fish, and occasionally several types. Since there is a Jheel next to the house, sometimes Jheel's fish is eaten. The fish seller brings mostly river and sea fish. Sometimes, if someone tells the name of a favourite fish, he brings it too.
The Fish Seller mostly comes to our backyard and calls loudly. The man's call is now very familiar to us. He called very loudly and said that he had brought fish. Hearing his call, various men and women from the neighbourhood came to our yard and gathered in front of his fish pot. Then everyone started buying fish. Some check the quality of the fish. Someone else bargained. Most of the time, everyone buys fish at the price of one person fixed.
Another interesting thing is that all the women buy fish and sit in our yard to cut the fish and go home. Some buy a little more fish, and some a little less. But everyone helps each other to cut the fish so that it is faster. Fish seller sells more than half of the fish sold in our yard. His countenance brightens on the day when everyone buys more fish. And when less fish is sold, one has to go around and sell fish from morning till evening. The lifestyle of a fish seller is simple, like this.

A fish seller worked very hard. Thank you for sharing this. My uncle sold fish for many days. Sometimes, he came home late at night if the fish still needed to be dealt.
