"Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem"

Assalamualaikum Everyone
This is @imrulzayed, from #Bangladesh.

En masse, Dhaka University students and a few progressive political activists began a protest march on February 21, 1952 (8th Falgun 1358), against the order of Section 144. The demonstrators were shot by the police under the guise of violating Section 144 when the march approached Dhaka Medical College. The gunman killed Rafiq Salam, M., the son of the proprietor of Badamtali Commercial Press. A. Barkat, Abdul Jabbar, and numerous other class classmates. Also hurt were seventeen teenagers and students. Blood from the martyrs soiled the streets. Anger throughout all of East Bengal was stoked by the aftermath of this tragic event. The nation saw a nationwide resurgence of resistance in response to the student killings on February 21st. A violation of Article 144 was committed on February 22 and 23, when workers, students, literary and intellectual types, teachers, and members of the public observed complete hartal and held processions. Police opened fire on February 22, killing Shafiur Rahman Shafiq, Awal, the rickshaw puller, and Aliullah, the teenager. I will provide you with my attempt at a pencil sketch of this movement.
