SEC-S6W1 | My favorite Football team in World Cup 2022

Good afternoon and sports greetings in this very extraordinary contest event in my participation.

The Official World Cup opened on Sunday night in western Indonesia, Qatar as the host gave a good message in its opening. Culture, religion, and customs, become one in this 4 year event. As the World Cup got underway, the Steem community for the Bangladesh community was chosen to host the Challenge contest season 6, and the theme of the contest matched what was happening this week with the world cup in Qatar.

As a person who likes and loves soccer, I have a favorite team and favorite players to be the best and champion. Of the 32 participating countries, I chose the Portuguese team which will speak far at the biggest sporting event this biennial edition, maybe Germany, England, and also Argentina and others have the same opportunity.

The reason I chose Portugal as the leading team is inseparable from the winning mentality filled with great players who have abilities above the average of other players. Making Portugal one of the great teams that has always been the top team in every major tournament, one of which is the World Cup. This player who plays for top European teams will be a big influence for the Portuguese team in every competition.

As a fan of the Portugal national team, I have a few favorite players. one of them is Cristiano Ronaldo, Fernando santos da Pepe. These two different players are two key players in their respective positions.

Portugal has only participated in the World Cup seven times out of the 21 existing editions. They appeared in 1966, 1986, then five times in a row from 2002 to 2018. Of those seven appearances, their best achievement was winning third place in 1986 when Eusebio played. Achievements that even in the era of Cristiano Ronaldo, who has strengthened Portugal in four World Cups, have not been able to match it. Ronaldo strengthened Portugal from the 2006 to 2018 World Cup and was ranked fourth at best. In five other editions, Portugal has made it to the last 16 twice and failed to qualify from the group stage three times.

Then what are their chances at the 2022 World Cup which is likely to be Cristiano Ronaldo's last appearance at this event. The country ranked 9th in the FIFA rankings is in Group H with Uruguay, Ghana and South Korea.

Personally, I've never seen a World Cup live, television is where we watch every World Cup take place. Watching together outside or indoors has been interesting so far and it's possible that if the World Cup were held in Asia, especially Indonesia, I might be able to watch it live and now I can only watch the world cup in the nearest cafe while watching with football fans.
