Greetings dear friends,
How are you all my friends? I hope all of you are well by the grace of Almighty Allah. Alhamdulillah I am also well by the grace of Allah. I am also well by God's grace and your love. And I am here today with a new chapter where I will share with you educational posts.

Alhamdulillah a few weeks ago I got a new job at an ETP plant whose main objective is to treat industrial waste water and release it into rivers. As a result, this water does not cause any damage to the environment. Treatment of this waste water is very important to keep our environment free from pollution and to maintain the ecosystem of the environment. Not only this ETP plant, there are several other plants in Bangladesh whose main purpose is to purify water and make it safe for all living creature in the environment.

Today I will introduce you to three water treatment plants and their purpose. So let's begin:

There are three types of water treatment plants in Bangladesh and they are:

• ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant.)
• WTP (Water Treatment Plant.)
• STP ( Sewage Treatment Plant.)

ETP (Effluent Treatment Plant.)

In simple words, ETP plant is a plant built for the treatment of waste water released from industrial plants.Every industry in Bangladesh has ETP plant and besides WTP plant.It is mandatory to have ETP plant in every industry in Bangladesh. If the water discharged from the industry directly mixes with the environment, it will be very harmful to the environment and the balance of the aquatic ecosystem will be destroyed due to this effect.

This waste water released from industrial factories contains various types of chemicals and small or large organic and inorganic substances which are very harmful to the environment.We purify this water by completing at least 8 to 9 steps. However, it is not directly suitable for human consumption. This water is treated so that it does not cause any harm to the environment after it is released into drains or rivers. Here again two types of plants are used for water purification. One is Biological ETP plant and other is Biochemical ETP plant.

WTP (Water Treatment Plant.)

WTP plant is a plant built for the treatment of raw water. And this water is purified for human consumption and industrial machinery. And we see this in the industry. We also have WTP plant here. And this water is used for dyeing the fabric of this industry. However, all kinds of harmful substances are removed from this water through the process.

However, some beneficial elements in this water are also removed as a result of purification. But drinking purified water is good for our body and our kidneys function properly. And the important process used for this water purification is reverse osmosis process. Through this, all kinds of elements are retained from the water through the filter and the water is purified 99%.

STP ( Sewage Treatment Plant.)

STP plant is mainly used in the field of rainwater purification, water discharged from houses, drains, residential areas or shopping malls. Such water contains numerous types of solid wastes which are treated and discharged after making the water suitable for the environment like ETP. However, even if this water is not 100% pure, people can use it if they want. And if we want, we can purify this water through some other processes and use it in some cases.
