Contest - What is your opinion on whether charity should be done publicly or secretly?

Hello guys and welcome to my post. It's been a good and educational ride with steemit and so far, it's been interesting. For this post, I will like to make an entry for a post organized by sir @ripon0630 in the steem Bangladesh community and this contest requires that we talk about wether or not it is good to do charity publicly or secretly.

Humanity is the real religion. Many people in society help people in different ways by giving charity a part of their earnings. Charity increases humanity in people and is one of the most virtuous deeds in the world.
However, there is much disagreement about the way to go about charity. Many people like to donate publicly because it can influence others to do this good work, while many people consider public charity to be so showy that they prefer to donate privately.

First off, many people don't actually understand the fact that "humanity is the real religion" most especially Christians (no offense, I'm also a Christian). A Christian is ready to abandon a dieing person just because they want to go to church early, forgetting he fact that helping in anyway is a good deed and will be a plus to them during judgement day.

Well, as for this contest topic, I will say that both method of doing charity is very good but is dependent on where one finds themselves. Long story short, I will participate in this contest by following these tips.

• What is your opinion on whether charity should be done publicly or secretly?

• Why do you think that this way of doing charity should be adopted?

• Is there any benefit or social impact to charity in this way?

• Who should be prioritized for charity

WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON WHETHER CHARITY SHOULD BE DONE PUBLICLY OR SECRETLY?

In my own opinion, the public way of doing charity is important but if the individual starts using it as a leverage to being rude to others and too proud of themselves, this is where it is not good.
Reasons in the next headline.

WHY DO YOU THINK THAT THIS WAY OF DOING CHARITY SHOULD BE ADOPTED?

In my opinion, the reason why charity should be done publicly is this;

There are some places where the actions of a particular person can play a very big motivational impact on other people to do same as the individual did or not than the individual did. For example, a person can come to a motherless baby home and give them something while posting in on socials and using the medium to talk to other people so that they too will do the same, and as a result of this, other people will want to join in it and make it like a competition. This public form of charity is currently happening in Abiriba abia state where I school, they help themselves to become big in life and currently, Abiriba is nicknamed "small London" because of the ones that were helped and the ones who learnt about helping played and important role in the development of the community.
The only problem there will be in this type of charity is if the person starts being too proud of themselves.

IS THERE ANY BENEFIT OR SOCIAL IMPACT TO CHARITY IN THIS WAY?

Yes, there is a social impact when an individual publicly do charity.. just as I explained in the previous headline, in Abiriba abia state Nigeria, due to the fact that they help each other, they picked each other up from gutters and made themselves big, Abiriba is currently nicknamed small London, just that there are no skyscrapers here.

WHO SHOULD BE PRIORITIZED FOR CHARITY

There is a popular saying "charity begins at home."

On this note, I think that the first act of charity should be in the house between our immediate family after which we go to the community and then the state e.t.c
After the charity being done in the house, I think the next place to carry out the act of charity is in motherless babies homes because they are still young and they have a very good and bright future with proper training and nurturing. After that, charity should be done for the homeless people, giving them shelter and if possible jobs.
