Greetings, wonderful individuals. Today, I am enthusiastic about participating in the Steem For Bangladesh Community Engagement Challenge Session 17 Week 03, which focuses on our beloved national holidays. Within the framework of SEC-S17W3: "National Festival," we are presented with the chance to investigate and commemorate the cultural liveliness that characterizes our country.
What is the national festival of your country? How did it start

Exploring the fundamental nature of a country's cultural fabric, there are few tales more vibrant and engrossing than its national festivals. In the central region of Bangladesh, these festivities function as dynamic segments, presenting a depiction of customary practices, solidarity, and communal ethos.

Pahela Baishakh is a fundamental aspect of Bangladeshi culture, a holiday deeply rooted in historical legacy and much valued by everyone. With extensive engagement, the event develops with magnificence, combining the core of Bengali emotions and cultural enthusiasm. This holiday is very important to their culture. As the first day of the first month, Baishakh, approaches, this lively party is held to mark the start of the Bengali calendar.

This time frame symbolizes a phase of revitalization, indicating the initiation of new hopes, objectives, and opportunities. The official celebration of Pahela Baishakh, which started in 1989 at Dhaka University's Fine Arts Department, has grown into a vibrant and diverse event since then. As it makes its way through the city streets, the Mangal Shobhayatra exhibits traditional attire, music, and dance.

How is this festival celebrated? Are there any special rules for celebrating it?

The Bengali New Year, known as Pahela Baishakh, evokes a substantial degree of joy and emotional manifestation. The remembrance is distinguished by a multitude of customs and rituals that cultivate a collective feeling of identity.

Wearing new clothes, especially at the younger age, is one of the most noticeable parts of Pahela Baishakh festivities. congregate in Ramna Batamul in Dhaka, the capital city, enhancing the vibrant fabric of the celebrations.

Numerous educational institutions, including as Dhaka University, take part in the festivities by planning the Mangal Sobhajatra, also known as the March of Well-being. Animal idols and masks made of intricate materials make this parade a sight to see. Horse and bullock carts decorated with traditional patterns further amplify the procession's majesty.

Engage in the consumption of customary culinary offerings, partake in musical presentations, and commemorate with others from diverse backgrounds at these cultural festivities. Many people, myself included, associate Pahela Baishakh with the wonderful times spent as a kid at Bangla New Year festivals with my family and friends.

Do you have any special clothes or food to celebrate your national festival?

Although there are no rigid regulations for commemorating Pahela Baishakh, there are certain traditions about clothing and food that contribute to the celebratory atmosphere. Girls often wear traditional white sarees adorned with crimson borders that are wrapped gracefully around their legs. This attire represents innocence, elegance, and the vivacity of the event, especially when paired with tiaras made of colorful flowers.

In contrast, it is common for males to choose Punjabi, a customary garment of a long tunic accompanied by pants or pajamas. This clothing embodies sophistication and serves as a manifestation of the cultural legacy of the Bengali populace.

The Pahela Baishakh festivities place great importance on food, specifically highlighting the renowned delicacy called Panta Ilish (Hilsa). Traditionally, Panta Ilish (Hilsa) is prepared by soaking leftover rice in water and serving it with fried Hilsa fish. Nevertheless, as a result of variables such as the escalation in Hilsa fish costs and limited availability, other versions of this dish are often created, showcasing distinct fillings and accompaniments.

Tell us about your favorite memory from your national festival celebrations.

In 2012, a year that was full of ups and downs but also of pure delight, I had a very special memory of celebrating Pahela Baishakh. A much-needed ray of sunshine entered my life with the entrance of Pahela Baishakh, after a setback in my university admission.

Accompanied by two of my closest companions, we made the deliberate choice to enliven the occasion by wearing matching sarees, which serve as a representation of our strong connection and unity. In uniform attire, we started an indelible expedition, traversing the lively thoroughfares of Dhaka and immersing ourselves in the celebratory ambiance.

On our adventure, we visited famous sites including Dhaka University and Dhanmondi Lake, where we enjoyed the company of good friends and the splendor of our environment. We ate delicious street cuisine, laughed our heads off, and caught priceless moments on film.

An overwhelming feeling of joy and unity washed over us all day long, erasing any remnants of sadness or despair. Friendship, perseverance, and life's little pleasures were all celebrated.

I would like to invite my friends @triple-a, @mhizta, @ustazkarim @mhmmdzaki @comfortpeter, and @jovita30 to participate in this contest.

Thank You So Much Everyone

Pahela Boishakh is the festival of our life and people across the country participate spontaneously. It is a traditional festival of Bengalis. We celebrate this festival in various arrangements. Mangal Sobhayatra, Chayanate cultural program, and eating panta hilsa. You have presented our Pahela Boishakh beautifully. Good luck to you.

@aspiya mam,,Greetings to this contest,,

Pahela Boishakh is the first day of Bengali year. Which is a very important day for the Bengali nation, because our ancestors have been organizing various festivals and events around this day for centuries. Therefore, this festival is closely associated with the history and traditions of the Bengali nation. The day begins with the traditional panta-hilsa of Bengali, i.e. eating a piece of hilsa fish with panta rice. After that, wearing Punjabi pajama or saree, the mangal procession and other cultural programs and festivals of various religions are celebrated with joy. The day is celebrated with joy. Join the festival to reconcile their differences and witness the traditional celebration together.

In 2012 you also appeared in the university campus wearing matching sarees with your 2 girlfriends for Pahela Boishakh. Hope you had a great day. Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful post on Pohela Boishakh. Be well.

• Best Regards

Dear G. It's great to read your post and it's a great presentation and you have shared this post with us and as you have told about the festivals in your country some are national and some are cultural. It is very good that you have given different explanations about both the festivals, like you said that in your country Baisakhi is celebrated with great enthusiasm, so it is true that it is a cultural festival. is in which people express their happiness meet each other and choose their traditional dishes choose their traditional dresses and share their happiness with each other on the occasion of this cultural festival 🎎
