I trust that this message reaches you in a state of tranquility and optimism, mirroring my own current disposition. Of course, as the Almighty has it, one gets the impression that nothing could go wrong and everything will always fit into place, irrespective of the whirlwinds that had recently swept the nation. The voyage from Dhaka to Jashore has been a significant shift, encompassing both physical and emotional aspects.

The days of political instability were also bringing hints of anxiety and it seemed as if our move to Jashore had to be synchronized rather well with the times of relative tranquility. Fortunately, the conditions have begun to normalize and thus we can go forward with the strategies we have in mind. Today, I plan to write about our shifting from Dhaka to Jashore, our new place to live at.

^{Early Morning}

Our day was kicked off by an early morning when the morning dew has not yet dried up and the world is still asleep. Thus, we woke up early in the morning feeling fresh and ready to start the travel.

The lack of traffic on the road rendered it incredibly comfortable, and before long, we were in Gopalganj. That’s why we chose to put up at Sampan Highway Inn on the Dhaka-Khulna or Jashore Road; a beautiful oasis in the heart of the tedious journey. The breakfast was a delight: Parotta with Kalija Vuna Dal Sabzi Mix and Nihari used to be our staple breakfast along with a hot cup of tea that light up the morning as if wrapping me up in woolen shawl.

Revitalized and ready to move again, we went on our way, and arrived in Jashore at half past ten. As much as we were preparing to transition to a new home, young people could not contain the joy of being in a new city. While my husband rushed to our house to supervise the offloading of our property, I had some time to rest at the Visiting Officers Quarters (VOQ) as we’ll be living there until we move to our new house.

I later went to the house after getting some rest to help in arranging out furniture and other items we had. To look at the start of our house construction was very exciting and at the same time over powering. To make a move complete, we put off our full move until we were certain that we had cleaned and refurbished the new home sufficiently, knowing that we had a small baby on hand. A hygienic and aero environment is as crucial as the food for the health of our little one.

Then I came to the room and had even a bath. Since I did not cook today, we order food from the mess and have it. After having lunch, I was very sleepy and therefore I even took a nap.

I woke up for a while and, thereafter, changed into fresh clothes and arranged the saree I was going to wear in the evening program. In evening we have an official program invitation. Saree, a beautiful fabric that I thought would be still more appropriate for the occasion was worn with a lot of caution.

Getting to the program was such a beautiful end to a rather busy day, and it left me feeling positive as we began this new chapter. Even though it was a confused day I have to admit that I am eagerly for more times in Jashore. When looking at my day’s experiences, I can hardly feel but the positive emotions provoked by new opportunities I have got to realize in Jashore. Cheers to newly opening adventures and to having a good laugh in this process.
