Para quienes piensan que el Rock solo son greñudos (pelos largo despeinado) con una guitarra y una batería gritando en un escenario. Les traigo lo que muchas veces ha pasado ante sus ojos y han escuchado sus oídos, pero desconocen le pertenece a lo más excelso del arte musical, me refiero a la OPERA ROCK.
Cuando hablo de Opera Rock, en seguida todos imaginan a El Fantasma de la Opera y Jesucristo Super Star, y si, por supuesto estas lo son, la primera pertenece a uno de los más Famosos escritores Andrew Lloyd Webber y fue escrita la letra por el dúo de Charles Hart y Richard Stilgoe, y la más famosa de las interpretaciones ha sido de NIGHTWISH, pero el mejor y más increíble montaje, no lo realiza un grupo en especial, se realiza y presenta en Broadway, reuniendo a grandes y distintos cantantes, incluyendo a Paul Stanley cantante del famoso grupo de Rock Kiss.

Quiero presentarles la otra cara de la música Rock, la cara del arte, del espectáculo, de música, sonido y el drama que existe detrás de muchos temas y de grupos. Es un género el cual cautivó a grandes músicos, y el cual nace en el rock, con sonidos del Heavy Metal que dejan a temas como el de los dos obras que mencione el principio de este post, como solo musicales.
Este grupo, del cual casi podríamos decir es él quien engendró en sus mentes este género, claro es el famoso grupo “The Who” con su disco Tommy, aún se debate si fueron los primeros, ya que quienes montan en un escenario la primera ópera rock es los Pretty Things con su obra SF Sorrow, adelantándose a The Who en el escenario, pero en definitiva es The Who quien escribe y graba el primer álbum de ópera Rock de la historia. Por ello cuando escuches de Opera Rock, no pienses más en “Jesucristo Super Star” ni en el “The Opera Phanton”

El Tema en el que se desenvuelve Tommy, es el drama que ante los ojos del espectador de la obra o el escucha del disco, mostrando traumas de un niño que fue afectado psicológicamente, pero que influenciado por un espectro patológico (Autismo) se encierra en su mundo logrando usar el juego del Pin ball como medio de escape, pero que su madre y padrastro quieren, y logran explotar de él. Recomiendo ver la película ella les generara mil sentimientos.
El drama de la obra se adelantó a muchos conflictos emocionales incluso al Autismo como condición psicológica-psiquiátrica
Yo amo la Ópera Rock, ni se diga la composición de Nightwish del fantasma de la ópera, siempre me enchina la piel. Creo que una combinación muy poderosa, mezclar la belleza y pasión de la ópera con el poder y las vibras que tiene el Rock. Blow your mind!
