Steem Inspiration Contest I STORY CHALLENGE I "A Learned Experience"

Greetings of peace and love to all steemians!

I am here again, sharing another post. Hope, this would motivate others although it is not that heavy experience compared to others, but it means a lot to me.

I am married and with two kids. I am glad a blessed with a happy family.
Being a teacher in the pubic school for 15 years, gives me a lot of failures and successes in life. I met different kinds of people in my field of work, my own colleagues, superiors, students, and parents. I work hard just to attain the promotion, I longed for.

I trained students to join writing and oratorical contest in division and regional level. I developed school paper in our school and later on became a school paper adviser. We won some of those contests we joined. Two years ago, I was even awarded as one of the most outstanding teacher in school.

Because of those achievements, I gained a lot of certificates which are requirements for my promotion. I was confident enough that I could get what I dreamed compared to my other colleagues. But what happened four years ago was the exact opposite of my expectations. I failed and was not accepted for the reasons until now, I don't understand. I was frustrated that time, but still applied the same position two years ago, still I failed. Last year, I applied again hoping it would have a better result, but I lacked 2 point just to to reach the acceptance level of 50 points. Right after, I decided to stop my application and left our school paper. I never bother to join any contests or motivated my students to join as well.

This year as my school head approached me, he told to apply again, I still passed the requirements for the fourth time without too much expectation. To my surprise, my other co-teacher was promoted to supervisory level and so I am the only who fit in for the position. The promotion I longed for as a master teacher I already gain it, financially it would also a great help. Because of what happened to me, I realized that what you wish in life, in God's time, it will be given to you. It takes patience and perseverance to achieve it. Now, I am back with what I started helping the school and to the community. And I make sure to continue I could stand in every downfall side.
