As I give my accolades to women of old
Who swept the sands of time
With their triumphant tail

Oh! Bring back the likes of Rosa Parks
Who fought with pains in blood
In jail human right was her cry
Racism and discrimination she abhorred

Oh ! Bring back the likes of Margaret Thatcher
A backbone of world's politics
British Prime Minister per excellence
The world economy saw light in her reign

Oh! Bring back the likes of Anne Frank
With her age knew no barrier
At fifteen stood out from teens
A common man's soul her work inspired

Oh ! Bring back the like of Maya Angelou
The poetic model
Whose zeal for civil right
Manifested through her words and pen

Oh! Bring back the likes of Mother Theresa
That charity may know no bounds
Her light of love shone on all alike
A quintessence of Charity to adore

Oh !Bring back the likes of Diana of Wales
With beautiful soul to heal waned soles
Her hands of charity to all and sundry
Fighting for women's right her goal

Oh !Bring back the likes of Queen Elizabeth 2
A long serving queen with difference
Bringing social and cultural changes
To the sands of her time

Oh !Bring back the likes of Hellen Keller
Your ability through disability I commend
Though deaf and blind to human eyes
Yet could see and hear in the hearts of all

Oh ! Bring back the likes of Harriet Tubman
A black slave yet free
Treated inhumanely but humane
Bringing freedom to thousand slaves

Bring them back, Oh ! Bring them
Bring back Yaa Asantewa and Winnie Mandela
Bring them back ,Oh ! Bring them
Bring back Martha Stewart and Margaret Ekpo

We need more of Joan of Arc and Golda More
Bring them Florence Nightingale
Our generation needs of more Corazon Aquino and Oprah Winfrey
