STEEM NIGERIA CONTEST: MY STEEMIT GAME PLAN

For those of us in Steemit and do not know what it stands for....

What is Steemit?

I was obviously new to steemit but very curious to know how such a platform works, so I decide to explore articles online to know what is behind steemit. This led to other discovery of similar platforms but concluded steemit is actually doing better.

Steemit is social media platform where you are paid for posting good quality articles, etc. In simple terms once you create a content on it's platform (usually not all content receive curation rewards), rewards are given.

who/where did you hear about steemit

Just like yesterday I would call it, I was introduced to steemit Precisly in December 2017 far away in Akwa ibom state, Nigeria, by @greatness96 and since then I have been steeming😂.

why did you choose to join steemit.

I had just finished National Youth Service (NYSC), waiting to get a job though self employed as at that time. Writing had always been something i really love so much and when steemit came,it wasn't difficult to embrace though it was quite discouraging at first, created my introductory post which paid me 0.9 steem dollars(sbd) but I continued writing. I can say specifically that steemit has improved my writing skills.

Secondly was the fact that it was paying, even though I never knew the value of sbd by then, but the fact that It was paying alone was enough for me. Who wouldn't grab such? At least it can pay off some bills and other important needs.

What I plan to do with my Steemit account: My Steemit Game Plan
Now that am here, what are my plans.....

• God has used Steemit in several ways to bless my life and now am addicted to steemit. As part of my game plan i have decided to visit at least 10 posts and contents everyday. In the process of reading, I will leave a high value comments on content i find very valuable and insightful. This is a very good and sure way to gather more votes and curation.

• Secondly, there are more than 100 communities on steemit and I have joined over 30 communities as at today. This will increase my participation and effectiveness on steemit and not limited to the @STEEMNIGERIA community. In doing so I will make myself know to all this community post quality content and gathering upvotes. @cryptoacademy is a typical example of this. I have been participating in contest organized by other communities.

• Logging into my steemit account is more like an habit now, this means spending more time on steemit daily, I have also discovered there are post that needs to be discovered by others, and example of this is the post from @steemitblog which usually carry very important information on steemit community, it is my plan to resteem such post and write-ups to spread informations to others. An example is the article to this contest.

• Upvoting content: I am aware that my upvote at this time will not add any monetary value to content, it is still part of my plan to upvote as many articles as I can at least I will show that article were read and appreciated. So am not worried about the vote percentage I will still do my voting anyways as long as it keeps me active and vibrant on this great platform.

• Building my steem power capacity: it is my upmost desire to build my steem power capacity, this will make my vote worthwhile. I am also aware that 500 steem power with 100% voting weight will give 0.0071 and wish to build it up and make at least 2000 steem power by December 2021.

• Investing in Steem Power: it is on this note that I plan to also invest in steem power to ensure my target is meet.Steem can be traded on some exchanges like binance, poloniex, etc. Steem dollars (SBD) can also be converted to steem, which can now be converted to steem power by a term called Powering - up.

• Promoting my Post: As part of my steemit game plan, I have also decided to promote my content on other social media platform such as facebook, twitter,tiktok, etc, this will help promote steemit to the world and make my account on steemit a very active one.

In conclusion, I would say steemit isn't a quick get rich platform, i have been discouraged at some point but now am fully in for this. I have still other strategies in mind to improve my account activity on steemit but lets consume these for now.
