The Demanding Friend

This is one of the most embarrassing dates I have ever had, So when this happened was on Saturday I had just finished planning a date with my girlfriend who is now my ex but before I will reveal the reason why we broke up let me narrate the embarrassing date which may be one of the reasons we broke up.

I was already on my way to the date because that time I had small money on me, this was 2018 and I was a shy guy then and my shyness was weird because I am never shy in school but any time I am with a girl in public I am always shy and she was my class mate so I decided to call my friend to come with his own girlfriend so we can double date but he was still saying he couldn't over the phone until I said I was going to take care of the bills and all of a sudden he wants to come.

Then I stayed outside waiting for this guy and she was waiting for me inside not knowing I was outside the gate, then he arrived and to my surprise he came alone so I asked him "where is your babe" he replied "she no de house" then I said "why you con come abi you no know say my girlfriend de inside" he did not answer me.

I was tempted to say "guy de go house" but I couldn't because he is my best friend so we went in, as we were approaching the place were they serve drinks and suya because this was a hotel I think because it had a swimming pool and a club were you can host parties but anyways as we were approaching this place I saw her standing at the front of the door of the club then I approached her and we hugged each other then I introduced her to my best friend then she asked me "where you de since" then out of panic I said the bike man I took didn't have change then she just said OK.

Then as we sat down and the date has not even gone far this my best friend said this "bro you no go buy something" not to look broke I said OK then after buying some suya and 1 soft drink and 2 beer this my friend went ahead to carry the soft drink and left the two beer and I bought that soft drink for my girl friend, then out of confusion I said "guy take the beer" then he said "he doesn't like beer" well that is a lie because I have seen him drinking beer before but I still went to buy another soft drink.

I suddenly noticed that my girlfriend was uncomfortable because this my best friend has turned the date upside down by telling me to buy stuffs or by calling me and my girlfriend lover birds which is not bad but I was shy and alot of people were around us or the time he shouted at the top of his voice "goal!!!" because his team has just scored.

Then my girlfriend whispered into my ear that we need to talk then we went to a private area then she said that she is traveling to kaduna to visit her aunty then I asked why she said that her aunty is sick and she was going to spend her holiday there anyway with her friends then I said let's go back and sit down then she said that she is go embarrassed going back there because of my friend then I escorted her outside and paid for her transport back home.

Then I walked in and spoke with my best friend then he say I shy too much then he showed me some pictures he took then laughed and we laughed and it was all good at the end but I was truly embarrassed, then me and my girlfriend broke up because she suddenly stop answering my calls but she comes online on facebook and when she reply she said that she has moved on that she may never see me again so that is how we broke up on december 2018.
