STEEM NIGERIA CONTEST: THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FAILURE AND SUCCESS BY @LOVVEDAY

It’s another great week for the steem Nigeria contest and am happy to be a part of it.

Firstly, we can’t talk about failure and success without actually defining their meanings.

Personally, I will say failure is the reward for required actions not taken while success is the reward of the required actions. One is quite the opposite of the other.

But let’s look on their definitions from a more resourced angle (a dictionary)

The Cambridge Dictionary defined failure as: the fact of someone or something not succeeding. Or the lack of success in trying to do something

The Cambridge Dictionary also defined success as the achieving of the results wanted or hoped for. Or the achieving of desired result, or someone or something that achieves positive results..

The relationship between failure and success is very interesting. Failure literally starts from where success stops and success picks up from where failure stops, isn’t this interesting

There is this idea that to succeed, you have to fail a number of times first. This idea is absolutely true, you can see that idea at work in little baby. A baby trying to walk for the first time, will fall, stand up and fall again before they can start walking. Any parent who did not allow their baby to pass that stage is trying to delay the baby from walking

We are stronger than we think, we should not allow failure to overwhelm us such that we can no longer see success. If we look at our lives today, we can see that we are not where we dreamt or thought we should be. But the truth is that we are not where we used to be. WE HAVE MOVED

Every success mind/project is not void of failure, just that they learnt and became better. Infact, when we know we are gonna fail if we try a new project and we still go on with the project, that’s a success story already.** If we have these qualities below, we can break new boundaries;**

1. If we use failure as a lesson, we will try to do better and eventually come out best
2. Determination is gold to our course. A determined mind is able to see failure as a step to success
3. Our efforts towards learning should be consistent, it shows we are overcomers, not the actual failure
4. Our mistakes must not be repeated twice, if otherwise we are not learning

Failure is something a man an never remove from his life permanently, so we should learn to work with it. We fail, we learn. We succeed, we celebrate. This is how we should keep this failure and success relationship…
