STEEM NIGERIA CONTEST: The Relationship between Failure and Success by @lhorgic

I will like to specially appreciate @oracle for this contest. This is one of the best topic I've seen so far and am glad to be a participant.

Introduction
Success and failure are fellows running on two parallel lines;opposite each other.Although everyone loves to be successful,nobody want failure nor associate with failures but if we can do a very critical analysis of both terms we will indeed see that even failure has its own advantages and can even propel success.

Before we begin to check the relationship between failure and success,I will love to define both so that we can easily relate them together and get a clear picture.

What's is Failure.
It means an even that doesn't accomplish it intended purpose.
It could also mean lack of success or inability to function properly. All these definition points to the fact that something is not or did not go as expected.

What is success
It means an event that accomplishes it intended purpose.
It also means accomplishment.

The relationship between Failure and success.
Failure is the absence of success, while success is the absense of failure. It therefore means you can't be failing in a particular aspect and be said to be successful at the same time. Both success and failure are event that occurs independently from each other. You know you're failing when you're not accomplishing or meeting your target and you know you're succeeding when you're hitting or accomplishing your goals.

Another important relationship that exist between these duo is that they have a way of stimulating you,setting you on motion and getting the best out of you especially failure.I know this is a bit controversial.I know someone right now is wondering how failure can motivate and bring the best out of a person tagged failure.
Let me explain this with two example.

• The story behind 7up.
  A story was once told about how 7up actually became an household name and how it became generally accepted. It happened that 7up made her product and tried to break into the market to have a share of the market but it was strongly disapproved the very first time. They made an attempt the second time,it was again dissaproved even up till the 6th attempt. But do you know that in spite of the disapproval,they never gave up,they were pushed to look for the recipe that will get them approval till they got it and presented again for the 7th time and this time,they were given approval. That's failure didn't weigh them down,instead it pushed them and set them on their toes.

• The Bulb inventor.
  There was another story told of the guy who invented the bulb we use today,he tried that bulb almost a thousand time before success. He was asked after the success why he kept trying inspite of the failure he experienced almost a thousand times and he said the failures only made me realized how a bulb is not made.

Conclusion
Our perception about these duo is very important especially failure. If failure is well handled ,it can result into success. The shocking part of this relationship is that successful people can end up becoming failures because they got complacent and satisfied that they stopped pushing and aiming for the best. The journey to the top is more easier than the what it takes to remain at the top,so is the reality of success.
