Bitter sweet

A long day... bitter feelings, memories about wishes long ago.
The only sweetness was found in treats. Desserts learned long ago taught by the old master himself.
Sour it tasted as his better helft left because of too many working hours and the fact he mainly pleased his pots and pans.
The stove always had kept calling him.
Being known, famous, someone was so spicey.
It had made him improve, grow, run.
Now he knew the price paid had been too high.
Homemade soup with salty tears of so many years.
The wish to turn back time...
Impossible, outbof reach it all had passed him by.
The small kitchen was all that was left of the chef's kingdom
