The Diary Game Season 3/May 30, 2021/Our Grandparents Day Out @ Smile Hopping and Beach Resort, Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City

Mabuhay Steemit Philippines! How are you? Well, I am here once again sharing my entry for the 7th week of The Diary Game Contest Season 3.

Summer is the best time for a family getaway especially a great time to swim on the beach. Last Sunday, we grabbed the opportunity to spend time together with the whole family from my mother's side. What made this trip more exciting was the fact that we had brought our Lolo and Lola who were not able to join any trips we had before. Actually, it was their first time going out after 10 years or more.

Being able to see them joining us at their old age is really a great blessing for us. Both of them are in their 80's. It's indeed a gift from God to cherish this experience with them. Aside from dipping into the water, Lolo and Lola enjoyed other fun-filled activities. At the beach, we covered Lola's half body in the sand. We did it because the sand is believed to be a therapy for arthritis pain. Lola said that it tickled but she definitely loved it. Likewise, my Lolo enjoyed the taste of the ice cream like a kid. Believe me or not, when Lolo was still years younger than his age now, he always refused to join any family gatherings but now, we were delighted how he loved to see his children, grandchildren, and even great-grandchildren together. Since life is about creating memories, then, every moment at that time was a treasure.
