The Diary Game Season 3/May 9, 2021/The Chronicles of a Superwoman

Hi Steemit Philippines! I am here once again. Last Sunday, the world has celebrated Mother's Day, so, my diary game entry is all about the chronicles of our superwoman - my mother.

If an employee gets paid for 8 hours a day, my mother works her duties and responsibilities non-stop, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 52 weeks a year without pay nor day off. Indeed, she's a superwoman who can do anything for the sake of her children.

Her life evolves around the corners of our house yet she's an "all-in-one" mother. A day in her life starts at exactly 4:00 AM. Her alarm clock starts ringing at that time for she's about to cook a viand for her business. Every morning, she's like the "Flash" (the superhero who has super speed). She can cook 5-10 dishes a day and her best-seller dishes are pancit, monggo, and lumpia (vegetable/shanghai)

Since my father and I have to work early, she'll then serve the customer with their orders alone. Usually, all of her viands will be sold at about 7:30 AM. Her day then rotates from cooking, selling viands, washing the dishes or the clothes, teaching my brother his module, cleaning the house, to preparing for the next day menu. Actually, that is her everyday routine. No matter how tired she is, her children are still her topmost priority. She's amazing, isn't she?

As her daughter, I salute her in every way. She's and will always be our superwoman with love as her greatest power. Last Sunday, the world celebrated a special day for mothers. For her to feel loved on that day, we prepared a small but a heartfelt surprise for her. We made a hand made paper flower, bought her a present, and brought her favorite doughnut.

Actually, our surprise was quite an epic fail because she knew it all along. Nonetheless, on that day, it's heartwarming to see our surprise had made her day.

I will end my entry with a quote from Cardinal Mermillod, "A mother is she who can take the place of all others but whose place no one else can take." Just like my mother, I guess that all mothers here in Steemit are all superwomen who are willing to sacrifice everything for the welfare of your children. Belated Happy Mother's Day!
