THE DIARY GAME - BETTER LIFE (SEASON 3) || SEPTEMBER 21, 2021 || " A quick tour of Metro Manila" by sxshx

I also did a quick trip or explore of the Metro Manila. Well its basically just from Mendiola to the Manila City Hall. It was tiring but I enjoyed it a lot. I kinda feel like a nomad. Hehe.

So after a long day of not doing nothing, I went out and start my journey. Lol I live in Sampaloc Area so I decided to do a walkathon. Well I started to take some pictures from Legarda then walk thru the Lrt station. When I passed by Mendiola because I was gonna go to the Malacañan Palace, I noticed that there's a lot of Police even fire fighters in the area, I was stunned that they also closed up the gates of Mendiola. I passed by and take a quick snap and then I noticed that they also barricated the place. Ohhh I don't watch the news nowadays so I think there's gonna be a Rally in Mendiola anytime soon.

So i continue walking and I pass by at The Minor Basilica of San Sebastian, correct me if I am wrong but It is where the Black Nazarene make "dungaw" and it is the recreation of suffering of the meeting of Christ and his Mother. I continue on walking the street where the National Teachers College located then to the Technological Institute of the Philippines. It was kindaa hot and exhausting but I still go on. Lol I almost reach the Ayala Bridge then I noticed again the Police at the Malacañan Palace gate. I really wonder why there lots of Police. It's not usually that way because I used to jog there all the time. Hmmm somethings fishy lol.

So there I go, I crossed the stop light. I was kinda hesitant on taking pictures because you know there's a lot of bad people outhere but here goes nothing. Well gladly my phone is still here with me hehe.

So I was walking by the Ayala Bridge and saw this Beautiful View of the Pasig River and the view of Manuel L. Quezon Memorial Bridge. I took a bunch of pictures of it.

I walk by the Ayala bridge towards SM Manila and it is almost sunset, It feels like I am chasing the sun. But the view is so beautiful.

I passed by SM City Manila and noticed that they already have Christmas Decorations and it got me thinking that wow Its almost Christmas, 94 days to go. How time flies by.

So yeah I also passed by this Cute Scout Boy Monument or Statue i don't know, I was kinda shaking taking the picture because I thought someone was following me. Feelingera lang😅

Then I went on and on and reach the famous Manila City Hall Garden or also known as Andres Bonifacio Memorial Park. There's a few people there, mostly couples ( sana all dibaaa ) and some passerbys taking pictures. So I did what I have to do. Take a lot of pictures.

I went to take a picture of the Monument of Andres Bonifacio Shrine also known as The Kartilya of Katipunan or Katipunan Revolution Monument. There's also a chismis before na someone stole one of the Itak of Andres Bonifacio. I don't know lang if its true.

Then I remember na Mayor Isko Moreno renovated the Lagusnilad Underpass so obviously I went there. And I was shocked because It's really different from before, before it was full of vendors, I think I remember there's also a patahian, my memories is kindaa hazy pero I passed by that underpass once or twice before But i clearly remember that it was very gloomy and sort of dirty but now Just wow, kudos to Yorme Isko. It was properly maintain and well guarded.

There's a bunch of people taking pictures and walking by. So I did my research It was made by the Group called Gerilya and named the Mural Masigasig na Maynila It exhibit the history of the Philippines, especially the colonization of the Spanish era and also highlighting the modern day heroes like all the health care workers working in this troubled times and also there's also a picture of the tourist spots here in Metro Manila but there's one thing I noticed in the underpass, there was a bookstore there. It was featured last year that It was kept there because the bookstore owner made headlines.

So I went up again and proceeded to the front of Manila City Hall and took a picture of the Statue of Mayor Arsenio Lacson, the Philippines flag and of course the Manila City Hall itself. Then I remember that Manila City Hall was built like a casket. Oh kindaaaa spooky. I hurriedly went to the garden because there's only like 4 people there including me. I was kinda spook out lol.

I passed by below the LRT station connecting Central Station, United nations station and Carriedo station. I am not quite sure.

I went back to the garden and took bunch of pictures of the Garden and the famous clock of the City Hall and also the The Kartilya ng Katipunan (Katipunan Code of Conduct) featured at the back of the Bonifacio and the Katipunan Revolution Monument

I was at awe that there's a coffee shop na in the middle of the Garden, It's KapeTolyo. It looks very cozy. I was gonna go there but I remember I don't have any cash in me. So I just decided to stroll around.

I was sitting there, kindaa tired and was waiting for the sunset and taking pictures and all.

so I decided to go to the Mall to kill some time off because I was also thirsty and I remember my roommate asking me to buy her some Milktea.

I went there and bought us Macao Imperial Milk tea and I went back and there it goes, the garden shine so bright from the garden lights.

It looks so beautiful. I went back taking pictures of it again and again. Then I noticed that the dancing fountain is open, I think it's the highlight of my short trip, It was so so pretty and It was playing some filipino children songs, I don't quite remember because It's kinda noisy from the honking of the jeepneys and cars passing by. But anyways It is very beautiful. I also read that the fountain was shaped and colored like Philippines Flag so another pogi points. I stayed there for like 10 minutes to watch the dancing fountain and then I decided to call it a day. It was very fullfilling. I did something that I don't usually do so yay me!

I would like to extend my gratitude to @fycee for inspiring me to do this. It was fun! I'll do it again soon. Maybe explore Luneta Park or Intramurus.
