Steemit Philippines Anniversary Presentation: Compilation of Community Charity Events and Financial Aid from January to March 2022

The Steemit Philippines Community continues the long month Anniversary celebration. We hope our community members enjoyed the contests that our team initiated, as we tried our best to share with you all the support we received from the Steemit Team.

One way of helping our members is to accept and create charity events not only in the Philippines but also in other countries. We accumulated 20% of the community income to the @steemph.charity account monthly.

Here are the Charity Events Funded by @steemph.charity account;

January 1-2022, (New Year). It was a gloomy holiday for our fellows in the Philippines where they were devastated by a strong typhoon specifically in the central Visayas. It was not an easy situation, they had been suffering from a shortage of food and water. Most families were homeless. What made it worst, the electric source was shut down for more than 3 months.

We extended our assistance to the typhoon victims and gave 50sbd and 209 steem to @bien who facilitated the said Charity event.

Last week after a successful distribution of 186 roof sheets for about 22 Families donated by the World Smile Project team and @el-nailul @steemph.charity admin @juichi contact me to give some rice donations also to our fellow countrymen @juichi could not distribute those donations since she was in Japan as of now because he is Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) He contacted me and pleased to distribute that donation to the Families who had been affected by the super Typhoon Odette @juichi and @steemph.charity team donated 55 SBD and 209 STEEM a total of 875.686 STEEM Read more...

The second Charity event was proposed by our member @mariarosa27. It was about her grandmother who was admitted to the hospital because of coronavirus. Our charity account gave her 10sbd as our aid in their raging hospital bill. Good thing her grandmother has finally recovered.

As days went by, Hospital bills got higher, especially in the case of covid positive. On the 1st day, the bill was P89,000 real quick and on the next day, it became P147,000. We were not able to deposit because we really don't have money and my Lola's children don't have money too. After 1 week, on January 19, 2022, shocking news came to us that the bill was already P305,027.50 😱😱😱 my sister who works in the Medical Records Department was bothered because the Billing staff asked her to deposit P100,000 in the account. We found it hard to find P15,000 how much more than P100k? OMG, 1st time in my life that I was worried about that big amount. I and my sisters know that my Lola's children and relatives could not make help with the bill because they are also in need of it. No choice but to make a move! Read more..

Our third charity event was held in Nigeria hosted by the Nigerian Country Representative @ngoenyi. We gave her 10 sbd to finance the said charity event and were able to help 5 less fortunate families.

Greetings to you all dear Admins and members of steemit Philippines, it is my delight to report back the charity aid that I was entrusted with by the admins of this honorable community.
I was contacted by @juichi to assist them with the execution of food aid to 5 beneficiaries from my country Nigeria.
