Steemit Philippines Community Photography Contest Week 4 | Theme: Black and White Photography: Teaching My Kid The way of Praying

We parents only want the best for our kids. We want them to be in good hands always and would like to see them happy and safe at all cost. We are willing to sacrifice anything for the welfare of our children and that I guess would just come naturally as I believe that there is no parent that does not love their children. If only we can be with them all the time of their life, every minute of everyday, but that will always be impossible. We also have other things to attend to even if we do not really want to be away from them for just a while.

When I become a mom, I then understand the feeling of worries and pain you feel seeing your child unwell and going through something. That feeling and desire to take away all the discomfort they feel in an instant but the best thing we can really do for them is pray. Let us not all forget that there is Someone else who can do more than what we can do for our child. Someone who can be with them 24/7. We just have to kneel down and call Him. He will always be just a prayer away.

Studies have shown that ages 1-5 years old is a baby's most critical stage in life. It is at this stage that they learn to imitate what they see and what they hear. It's the best time we teach them things that they can use and live through as they grow old.

My baby just turned 1 year old this month. Yes, he is still very young but as much as possible I would like to teach him the way of praying. I practice him to pray at night before going to bed and during morning when e wakes up. He might not yet understand what it is and what it does for us but there will always be time to explain it to him soon as he gets older. There will always be so much I can tell him about how our God above saved us many times in our lives. How God prepared everything for us both from my labor until the moment I delivered him. How he used people to answer our prayers and meet our needs since the day we have him until now. How the Lord God has been really great to me and to his dad.

In this moment of Pandemic our best vaccine is praying. Aside from us following all those protocols and having all those PPE, let us all remember the best shield we have. This pandemic is biblical as it says in Isaiah 26:20,

Go home, my people, and lock your doors! Hide yourselves for a little while until the LORD’s anger has passed.

but let us all believe that the Lord God will keep us all safe from all this.

Let us all continue to pray as there is power in praying.
