Social media is a place to meet, connect, share, and explore with new people, among many other things. There are very few people today who do not use social media.

Hello friends, I hope you are all well. I have been using social media for many years. In today's contest, I will share with you my experience of using social media and its pros and cons.

How old are you when you start engaging in social media and how was your experience so far?

Social media has become a part of our lives these days, and there are very few people who are not involved in it. People like to keep up with the times, and with the advancement of technology, social media has kept us connected to the whole world today.

I started using social media with my own device when I was sixteen. I have used social media before, but I didn't have any personal devices, and the internet was not as readily available and cheap in our country then.

I remember the first time I opened my Facebook account in 2015. Before this, I used to scroll through my elder brother's Facebook profile without realizing it. I first became a social media user by signing up on Facebook when my father bought me my first phone after my secondary exams.

Initially it took me some time to learn about social media and its every feature. But after interacting on social media for some time, I understand how to use it in the best way. So I would say my overall experience of using social media is awesome. I learned a lot from here and got to know people of different ideologies and increased my knowledge of social activities.

In your opinion, what is the right age for people to have access to social media?

The adoption of social media varies depending on the environment, social conditions and needs of different countries.

But in my opinion, the best age to use social media is between 14 and 16 years old. At this time, we complete our secondary level studies and enter college life, and this time is very important for us in terms of learning new skills as well as socializing with different skilled people.

This is the modern age. So we have to be updated all the time to keep pace with the modern age. Social media has already proven that it helps us stay updated on all things. Moreover, nowadays it is not only a field of entertainment; many students are able to gain knowledge on many subjects through e-learning.

So I think we should definitely give them a chance to move with the current era. If they can learn something good by using social media, then they should be allowed to use it. But we must watch that they don't do too much social media freaking. They should be informed about the proper way to use it.

What can you say to people who are no longer responsible for managing their social media accounts?

There are many people who refrain from managing their social media accounts for a long time. One of the most common reasons for not being able to manage it is lack of time. People do not get extra time while working for all family responsibilities and building their careers. There are many people who think social media is a waste of time.

But in my opinion those who have not been managing their social media accounts for a long time should take some time daily to stick with it and reap all its benefits. It helps you stay updated with various information and the current world along with entertainment for free. So we need to know about its best use and find out the best way to benefit from it.

Share your ideas on how to properly manage a social media account.

In order to properly manage social media accounts, the first thing to do is to be aware of its security. Since social media is browsed through an internet connection, it is susceptible to hacking through a cyberattack. That is why users must be careful about their actions so that their social media accounts do not suffer any damage.

As there are different types of social media platforms for users. So they should be more engaged with the social media platform, through which they can get maximum benefit in their personal and professional lives. There are many social media platforms through which users can increase their work productivity, so the user should select which social media platforms will benefit him and interact with them regularly.

I definitely believe our future will be bright with the power of social media if we know how to use it properly. Nowadays there are many good social media platforms and constantly many new social media are being introduced to us with new exclusive features due to which the opportunity for us to be benefited is very high.

Nowadays social media is not only limited to chatting or social engagement through which now various business organizations and brands are choosing social media for their business promotion. And where earlier students could not find any environment for learning without school and college, now, through e-learning facilities, students are able to gain knowledge on many subjects through social media.

The biggest advantage of using social media is that we can easily interact with like-minded people around us and abroad. Another great advantage of social media is that, through it, we can promote various products of our business to target customers, which helps to promote our business.

Due to the presence of e-learning facilities in social media, we can learn about various new skills and gain experience with them. According to the needs of today's people, social media has many important features, such as job market places for those who are looking for jobs and online business opportunities . And it gives us the opportunity to enjoy entertainment for free.

The worst part of social media is that mostly wrong news is spread here, which we unknowingly share with others. Moreover, due to the freedom of speech on social media, many people are being victimized by cyberbullying. And nowadays many people become so social media freaks that they don't realize what is happening in their real lives and suffer from depression.

What are the commonly used social media in your country? And categorize it.

In Bangladesh, many social media are widely used by common people, and among them, some of the social media that are mostly used by common people are facebook, instagram, whatsapp, and twitter.

Facebook is the most popular social media site in our country. There are very few people who do not have a Facebook account.Especially many people use it for their business promotion and social networking online.

After Facebook, the most used social media in our country is WhatsApp. Especially businessmen mostly use WhatsApp business ties. Because of the modern features it has for business work, many people, especially businessmen, are interested in using it.

After Facebook acquired Instagram, I noticed that many people in our country use Instagram. Especially the young generation has accepted it very quickly. Various brands are using it in their business promotions.

Although the number of Twitter users in our country is relatively low compared to other social media, the users who use Twitter are all productive users, and its users are constantly increasing in our country.
