#Club5050 | The Diary Game Season 3 (05-01-2022) | The Longest Bridge in the Philippines Opens!

in Steemit Philippines2 years ago

Hello guys! I hope you are all doing well today. With the new Cebu Cordova Link Express opening, I had an urge to go and experience how it felt like being on that iconic bridge. My wife and I decided to go on Sunday afternoon, we had no idea that the bridge had opened last Saturday at 5:08 PM so we ended up going on Sunday instead.

It was quarter to five when we went out of the house, the sun was still a bit high so we had high hopes too that we can reach Cordova in just 7 minutes. According to the news, it would only take that long from SM Seaside so we were excited.

Unfortunately, things didn't go according to our expectations. We got into the bridge and was going down into the slope and long traffic welcomed us. Our plan was to do a u-turn right away and capture photos as we go back to Cebu City. From Cordova, the view of the city is mesmerizing based on those who had passed by already.

But because of the traffic, we ended up reaching the toll gate at past six, that's an hour stuck in traffic and we could have complained and just been sad about all these things but we decided to play praise songs and sing along while in the car. We also found it amazing that airplanes look so near while passing by so we did take some photos.

From the driver's seat, I managed to take snaps as the traffic moves on. The RFID doesn't work as of the meantime, instead, we need to pay in cash first. I wonder when will the RFID start to work so the flow would be smoother.

And so the dark came to claim its glory and we were still in the traffic. Going to Cebu, the road was clear and so there was no traffic on that side of the bridge. We saw on the way back that the traffic became worse.

Anyway, I am sharing with you these images that I snapped while in the car. I hope you'll enjoy them!

Going there was a mistake but of course, we had no idea about it so we have to brush it off, learn from it, and move on. We reached home safe and sound so it was all good.

Thanks, guys for reading and enjoy your day! See you at the next one.

To God be the glory!

People of Cebu are ecstatic about the new bridge. Well, its just normal. I even want to experience that, not in car because I have none but by in bicycle. Is there a bike line both sides if the road bridge all they from start to end? Yes, don't regret it, its a form of celebration of the good things happening and you have something to share here too that we could read. Amping!
