Telos Network - A Short Introduction

Years ago, I was introduced by a friend to the blockchain technology. I was not really that interested that time because the concept was new to me. Digital currency, especially Bitcoin, on its early years was kind of a foreign subject to anyone who only knew fiat money as currency. Then I was introduced to Steemit. It opened more learnings and introduced me more to the blockchain technology of which I am grateful.

My blogging journey with Steemit has lead me to know other networks and one of these is Telos. To be honest, digesting the terminologies and understanding them was a struggle and is still at the moment. But let me tell you about the amazing features of Telos. I have learned these things through research. (Which is the best thing to do).

Fast and Scalable

It can process 10,000 transactions per second and 0.5s block time.

No Front Running

Telos is so fast, no pending transactions and fixed gas fees. These features eliminates transactions to front run others. It also uses the First In First Out process and it has strict governance. It does not allow reordering of transactions. Any block producer caught violating this rule will be penalized.

Eco-friendly

Telos is ESG Compliant. (Environment, Social, Governance). It cares how its operations affect the environment and the society. Telos is making conscious effort to be a leading ESG Blockchain.

No Down time

It has zero down time since its launched in December 2018.

Community Governed

Through the Telos Decide engine, network operations are placed in the hands of the token holders.

Decentralized

Telos Block producers are located around the globe and it cannot be owned by one entity alone.

The above mentioned are just a few of the incredible features of the Telos Blockchain. To date there are 100+ dApps on its ecosystem and it is tremendously growing as time goes by. Telos is the home of the fastest EVM, the Telos EVM which is not a fork of the Go Etherium code. An entirely new EVM that is built from the ground up.
