Dreams do come true! This is what comes into my mind looking at my daughter during her wedding.

Why should I say that?

Their love story isn’t that strange, since we have a gigantic world a lot of lovers experience what they had gone through in the past, but definitely, not all were able to make it on their wedding day.

I’m happy they made it!

Now before I start to talk a bit of their love story, I would like to share these lines of Meghan Daum, an American author of several books including The Problem With Everything and My Journey Through The New Culture Wars;

“Distance is not for the fearful, it is for the bold. It’s for those who are willing to spend a lot of time alone in exchange for a little time with the one they love. It’s for those knowing a good thing when they see it, even if they don’t see it nearly enough.” – Meghan Daum

Although I cannot say that all throughout those years (8 years to be exact) of being away from each other, they were not able to spend time or communicate with one another, thanks to technology and social media because they managed to stay in touch despite being geographically separated, and yes they can be considered someone brave and courageous to triumph over the test of time and distance.

As exhilarating as it is to be newlywed, it can be all too easy to prepare and celebrate the love between them. In fact, they succeeded to make the wedding a reality in just a very short span of time.

To look back, it was just a little more than a month since my daughter went to the United States, wait, no not even a month yet because they moved to the US just last August 2, I almost forgot the exact date, perhaps it’s because times really flies so fast and not because I’m getting older 😊.

Snippets of Their Love Story

People have different stories and theirs just emerged to be extraordinary. No, I don’t mean literally like that but somehow it is in a way that they surpassed the test of time and are now tied legally as husband and wife.

My daughter is only 24 but I think now is the right time and the perfect time for them to dive into their vows.

I realized everything seemed too early for her, but God has reasons why He allows things to happen. Anyway, let me go over a few noteworthy events in her life for me to allege this. First is that as far as I could remember she started going to school when she was still 3 and was already capable of singing a complete Filipino song.

Second, she graduated from College when she was 19 and passed her board exam in the same year she graduated. And finally if not because of COVID-19 she would have been married at the age of 21.

Well, going back to their love story, they met and became sweethearts while they were still in college. A few months after graduation, her ex-boyfriend (now her husband) has to go to the United States to live and work there, and that was the start of their long-distance love affair.
