Featuring My Hometown: Madridejos, Bantayan!

Welcome to Bantayan Island Cebu, Philippines, my very own hometown.

Bantayan Island is an island located in the Visayan Sea, Philippines. It is situated to the west of the northern end of Cebu island, across the Tañon Strait.

This island is known for it's white sand beaches and clear waters. No doubts, local and foreign tourists are drawn to this place. This place offers eco-tourism activities such as sight-seeing, swimming, cliff diving, kayaking and even sky diving.

Aside from being a beach destination, Bantayan Island also is a fishing community. A vital fishing grounds for the province of Cebu. They are famous for their danggit (dried fish).

Bantayan Island consist of three municipalities. Santa Fe, Bantayan Proper and Madridejos which is the hometown of my husband.

The first time my wife and my daughter went to my place, they were offered plenty of freshly catch squids and varieties of shells. I would say that it was really such an honor to be warmly welcomed by the locals especially from my family.
