The Diary Game Season 3 (05-30-2021) | Burnt Banana Bread
Sunday, May 30, 2021
Sunday it is and just one more day before June ends! Woah! It means one more month before Matti, my baby's first birthday! And my first anniversary of being a mom! Also, it meant my first anniversary of not working, no pay, just being a plain housewife.
I am glad that at this point of age, being a housewife is not anymore looked upon as a degrading status. Before, I recall that my mother pities herself when being asked about her job. She felt like being a housewife, taking care of the kids was the thing that was keeping her away from helping her husband in terms of financial needs. But because of information and technology, being a mother and a housewife is already a job that is being appreciated.
Breakfast time!
Today, I woke up early, prepared Matti's breakfast which was vegetable fritters. I added some carrots, pechay, and cabbage topped with cheese! Matti ate it because he loves cheese. Then we had to prepare for church! My husband James didn't go to church today because he was having a cough and he doesn't want to contaminate anyone.
Before lunchtime, it rained hard! This was the total opposite of the weather the other day. Lunch was the same for Matti and we watched a Netflix series called Shadow and Bone, we even finished the entire first season!
While also watching the series, we made some banana bread! I followed a YouTube video on how to make chocolate chip banana bread and it was almost perfect but I realized I added tablespoons instead of teaspoons. TSP means tablespoons right? With that, I guess it ruined the texture of the loaf.

Still, according to my family who ate everything, it tasted good! Although, some parts of the four loaves had been burnt. It was my first time making banana bread though, I know I can make it better next time. I will try to make another batch tomorrow and see if I could perfect the texture and the taste at the same time, I don't want to burn it anymore.
At dinner, Matti had banana pancakes. We have a lot of bananas because our family friend shared their harvest. Matti ate a lot of the banana pancake!
Balut

Then after dinner, we ate balut. My sister-in-law bought a lot and we shared it with our family, my father even joined us! I ate the 16 days old baluts. If you are not familiar with that, I highly recommend googling it!
That ended my night. How were your Sunday guys?
My niece.
