I am part of the ladies at our local church and one of our activities here is to visit those whom we have not seen for a while. This is a great initiative because it encourages those members and they will be reminded again to fellowship with us and perhaps get back to going to church again. Perhaps they need just a little push and a reminder of their faith.

This activity has been put on hold during the pandemic but since life now is beginning to be free again, we are resuming the activity. This time, we visited the house of our sister in Christ Jonalyn Berou.

She now lives in Bunhayag, this is located a little far from downtown so we had to use cars in traveling there. Our assembly time was at two in the afternoon at church then we headed to where the rest of the ladies who will join the activity were waiting for us.

As we were traveling, I took some photos of the surrounding, this is already a place filled with trees and foliage. Further to their area, we can already see the sea too! This is overlooking our coastal area!

The church vehicle was parked at this plain side of the road and we parked beside it too. The women brought their simple gifts for our sister.

And then we started walking. Good thing that the weather was nice so the path going to their house was not muddy. According to Jonalyn's mom who was with us, this area here is really muddy during the rainy season.

We were excited to reach their house, I guess it took around ten to fifteen minutes of walking before we finally reached their home. It was good that Jonalyn was there and her husband too. Her two children were there too! On that day, there was a blackout in the entire island so we were already expecting that she will be in the house.

Each of us brought our little gifts and gave it to Jonalyn. The ladies brought grocery supplies like eggs, noodles, canned goods, rice, and so much more!

We handed it to the couple and they were glad to receive the simple gifts. It felt so good to be able to give even in our simple ways.

More importantly, the best thing that we brought was the Word of God. Our sister Alie had shared to everyone in the room the importance of being obedient to God.

Our submission to God's authority will allow us to be obedient to our King. He is our Lord indeed and it is just right that we follow His commandments. I was really blessed with her exhortation and I know that the rest of us were blessed too!

After the exhortation, we prayed for the couple and even ate our snacks too! We brought with us some bread and while we were chatting and catching up, we shared the packs of bread. It was good to be able to get updated with her life and we encouraged her to also come to church.

After that, we took group pictures! We appreciate that the couple had welcomed us to their home and as we bid goodbye, we prayed that the Holy Spirit will guide their family and bless them. More importantly that they will be obedient to what God commands and I know that God is knocking on their hearts.

It was fun to be out together with the ladies, some were unable to join us that day because of other things but we are still glad that ten of us had cleared our schedules and made this a priority. This will surely not be the last but the start of more visitation.
