Steemit Philippines Photography Contest Week # 3: Take Pride in the Family

A peaceful day to all kabayan and steemit friends!

What is it about the Philippines that makes it so much different from the rest of the world? Well, one thing for sure, it is all about our Filipino culture. Here is one thing you should know about our culture that sets them apart from any other nation on the planet.

I want to show to the world the one of the wonderful culture in the Philippines, it cannot be seen either in the museum or in any heritage sites but it can see inside to every Filipino heart. What I mean is that the we Filipinos is very respectful, obedient, polite and take pride in our families.

In the Philippines, it is always family first. So whether you are part of the immediate family or you are belong to the third or fourth generation or you are not blood related, you are treated as a family member. Sometimes, even your closest of friends and or your best friend are considered family too.

Filipinos are very known for having a strong and close family ties. We respect and put importance on our family before anything else. We work all day and do all we can to feed and provide the needs for the family and the welfare of the family always comes first. In other countries, when a person turned at the legal age, he/she can live away or separated from his/her family in order to live with their own life and self decision making. But in our country, even you are at the legal age you are still in the care of your parents.

The picture above was taken last August, 2020 during the wedding ceremony of my auntie georgie84 and to his hubby steemitcebu. I chose that picture to participate in this contest because for me that is the best moment that comes in my mind to represent our culture and it is a pride to both parents that their sons and daughters have known each member of both families and lighten up the family that they become one. All the relatives in both parties has come to an event especially their close friends and colleagues. During the ceremony even we don't know someone and that is our first met but we just like a family because we Filipino know how to get along with people and treated them like our family.

I invited my steemit friends @lealtafaith, @jaofran and @sweetspicy to participate in this contest and show to this community the Filipino culture that they want to share.
