Lechon Baboy
is one of the famous food in the Philippines especially when made in Cebu City.

Inasal nga Baboy is part of the Philippine culture. Inasal means heated under a charcoal or what we called, grilled. The whole pig is grilled while rolling it. Baboy is the Filipino term of pig. Lechon is the same meaning with inasal. Lechon baboy is best paired with appetizer called atchara(an unripe grated papaya mixed with vinegar and other spices). Every Filipino event such as birthdays, fiestas,Christmas and other special events, lechon baboy is present to those who can afford it. It costs from 5k to 8k per whole lechon.

I usually passed by a Lechon Street-food House called TESS LECHON, located near our home and my workplace . They offered Lechon manok and lechon baboy.
When I have money in my pocket and lechon is display on the glass, I make sure to pass by. Of course, the skin or the Kubal is my favorite part of the lechon, especially when it is crispy. I find it very satisfying with an atchara on the side. The lechon baboy costs P 540.00/kilo and 1/4 of the kilo fits me with another company.

Lechon is undeniably famous in our country. Foreigners who visited our country also tried this food because it rarely found in another country. The taste vary to the cook, depends on the mixture applied by the cook. There are sometimes sweet or even sour but not bitter.
