Feeling so Dry / Out for Sign Language Field

Due to the hot weather, everything seems so dry. We're close to the end of November. It should be colder already but the daytime heat remains. It's probably global warming, and it's giving me headaches whenever I'm out during sign language field service. I get migraines easily because of the heat, and it will take a day or two for my body to recover.

Oftentimes, we visit rural places because it's where many deaf people lives. They may feel even more deprived of things being away or far from convenience.

Harvest time is done in many places, and it's time to dry up the rice. Most farmers here in the Philippines do place the newly harvested rice on the street where sunshine is enough to dry them up.

There's already a law regarding drying up the rice in streets, and this might be prohibited. Probably, the best place to do so is their own yard. I'm not a farmer, so I have no idea what it's like. However, I am fine with what's shown in the picture because it's in a residential area. Most people passing in the place are residents or some certain visitors, not that much. It may not cause much accidents, but there's still responsibility handed over to those doing these.

Others are drying up newly harvested rice in the highway. That is a no-no. Yet, many are still doing. In fact, there are people who got involved with accidents because of it. It almost happened to us too. Whatever accident it might cause, those who placed those rice carries the responsibility.

Huge lot is getting dry too. The cows are fine though. They still has pastures to eat from. Despite this, the breeze was already felt because it's late afternoon. It might be too hot at the peak of the day, but it gets quite cold when the sun is close to hide.

There's not much beauty after the harvest. It might be the rice fields doesn't look nice because no greens, no more rice left. It's ready for plowing though. Still, I wanted to thank our dear farmers for the hard work so we have something to buy and eat.

Global warming can really be felt these days... These farmers should find other places to dry the rice so that it will not cause trouble to other people.
